At $150+ expected a clean SNES, Had to clean it myself (Not too bad) There was something rattling inside the SNES. Piece of plastic was broken. Overall still good, Shipped VERY FAST and packed well. Unit worked before (and after) cleaning. See pictures, removed 2 VERY rusty metal (useless?) parts and the broken plastic piece :) 4.5 Stars Recommended Seller!

    I honestly was not expecting to get two controllers, let alone two WORKING controllers. The console runs flawless (so Far) with no indication of any problems or anything to suggest it will fail anytime soon. Color, picture and sound is 100%. I played it straight outta the box for hours. I even contacted the person who restored this very console, just to thank him. We all take a risk buying 30+ year old hardware, its nice to know there are some people out there putting such care into keeping the classics alive and well.

    I was excited to receive this because my old one doesn't work anymore. However, when I plugged everything in and turned it on, it doesn't work at all. There is no video output, and all there is is a buzzing sound. I also replaced all the cords to see if that was the issue, but that still did not fix it. This is extremely disappointing and I will be returning this soon, the people selling this product should test to see if it works before taking a customer's money.

    The SNES, in my opinion, is by far the best system in the nintendo line (which is the reason for the rating). HOWEVER, I have several problems with my order and this sellers dis-honesty in the product description.

    1) In the product description it says that this refurbished system comes with both a controller and hook ups. All I recieved was the console and AV cables. NO controller, and NO AC adapter. In other words, this console is now useless to me until I find one of these.
    2) It also says in the product description that it's gaurenteed to work or he'll send you another one. I received this message from the seller:

    Hello,

    Thank you for your purchase of a super Nintendo system. I wanted to email you and make sure you understand what you are buying.

    This is for a super nintendo console with AV cord ONLY. (No power cord, and no controllers). System is mildly discolored, a couple of chips in the plastic, and (I have no way of testing it). SOLD AS-IS- no returns.

    Please send me an email and confirm that you understand the condition of the item, before I ship. Thank You very much.

    The areas in the ( ) I have point out for the following reasons
    1) The first shows where he gave misleading information in the product description. NO controllers and NO power cord, when in the description it said it was bundled with the hook ups AND a controller.
    2) If it is gaurenteed to work, but you have no way to test it, how can you gaurentee it works? Oh and, you can't return which means any chances of getting a working console are out the window.

    Overall this has been a HUGE dissapointment. I bought my favorite SNES games thinking once I recieved this bundled, refurbished console I'd get to play them. I guess I was wrong.

    While the unit I received does function, it has some clear internal problems that I will be trying to look into myself. The system I had, before I lent it to someone who ran off with it, worked much better than this unit. However, as I said it's functional, but clearly needs some internal repairs. That's why I gave it three stars. Because of this issue, I nearly blamed my own T.v. for the issues, which is brand new. Anyways, it's no major big deal, just a pain in the behind to get it to work.

    I've narrowed down my problems and thus given it's current state, gave it a full 5 stars. It's still not working too well, but I now know why. Part of the reason it was DIRTY inside. Cleaning the inside has fixed about 50% to 90% of my problems with it being functional. All I need to do now is buy a cleaning slot to clean out the game port itself. That's causing my final problems with it's functionality. All in all, still a good buy for almost $50 dollars. I'll update again, if I remember and get the necessary cleaning kit.

    So the cleaning kit for both the console and game cartridge did the trick and it's fully functional with the games I still had on hand and etc. No glitches no problems, goes to show you that cleaning can go a long way. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones that got a good unit. The unit shell wasn't in too bad shape either.

    I received my Super Nintendo in about a week and a half. It turned on but on the screen it only showed a black screen with 2 horizontal white lines and a small buzzing sound. I messed with it for about 2 days and finally one night it came on and worked for the rest of the night. It worked the next day for about 4 hours and then since then it has not worked again. It shows the black screen with lines. I have cleaned it multiple times and tried different cables in the back and have tried just about everything but still get the same screen. It's been about 2 or 3 weeks now and still does that.
    I'm not sure if the game system is just busted, or if it's a small problem I can fix that's right in front of me.
    I've tried cleaning it, blowing into it, every game I have.
    Nothing works.

All the games would have multiple problems, bugs, and glitches, which I thought it was the cartridge for being dirty. After cleaning all the cartridges, it still didn't work. So, I disassembled the snes carefully and cleaned it as best as I could, reassembled it, and checked if it worked. And guess what? Nothing. Nothing happened AT ALL. The same problems were lurking, which led me to the idea of going to a video game repair shop. When I went there, the specialists told me that the cpu is damaged, mainly due to WATER. When I bought this console, Peara's Premium Products specifically told me that it was fully functional and showed SMALL signs of wear. Yeah, right. So I am telling you this again and please take my advice: DO NOT BUY AN SNES FROM PEARAS PREMIUM PRODUCTS!!!
