This is a great addition to include with your Nintendo Switch Console. The Joy Cons and the Grip that is included with the Switch Console provide a suitable alternate to merge both Controllers together. However for any Gamer, especially an entry level or Hard Core Gamer, this is the Controller you need. It is slightly bigger than the Controllers for other Game Brands but the feel, look and comfort is next to none. I found it easier when playing either Mario Kart Deluxe and Lego Marvel Superheroes. This is not to imply the Joy Cons are not suitable for the Switch, they are great because there are Games that are designed specifically to use the Joy Cons either individually or collectively. Again, the positives about this Controllers, and with the Joy Cons, it's quite versatile and anyone can use them. This Pro Controller is Wireless and includes a USB Cable to allow you to charge the device when required. You can definitely play and charge the Controller at the same time however the cord is not significantly long enough; which would require you to sit closer to the Dock and TV screen. Pairing the Controller is automatic and you choose directly from the On Screen Menu which Controller you wish to use. The amazing part, you can swap between Controller and Joy Cons at any point during your Game. This is a fantastic feature with the Nintendo Switch Console as well as the simplicity to toggle between Controllers. As described, the battery life is for approximately 40 hours and it is recommended to charge this Controller prior to using it for the first time. I'm in the habit of always charging my Controller as soon as I shut down my Switch. This is no different when charging a Tablet or Smartphone; to keep is charged at all times. There was no lapse or delay when using this Controller in full game action. The buttons and layout is beautifully arranged for the Player; I really applaud Nintendo because the buttons are raised and easy to press and maneuver. Once I took it out from the box and held it; I automatically became accustomed to the feel and look of the Controller. In addition, I was able to fully recognize the button configuration without having to look down after a very short period of time. Again, for any entry level or Hard Core Gamer; this is a definite must, you need for your Nintendo Switch. It will solidify your Gaming experience and make it more enjoyable.

    I’ve had this controller for around 2 weeks now. It is amazing quality and I really enjoy playing video games with it. I had a huge gaming slump because I was so busy with schoolwork, but this controller is genuinely encouraging me to play even more. It has a genuinely clean design, and I absolutely love playing with it. Just by holding it you can tell what amazing quality it is. It is on the more expensive side, but I recommend this controller for those who truly love their gaming.

    I needed another set of controllers for the Nintendo switch and I was back and forth on which ones to choose. Should I get another set of Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller? The Joy-Con controllers are pretty amazing, use them as 1 unit, or separate them out. Track motion with them or connect them directly to the switch. What the Joy-Con controllers are capable of is impressive, but this multi-functionality comes at a cost. They aren't the most precise controllers nor the most comfortable, and once I used the Pro-Controller this became even more obvious.
    The Pro-Controller is one thing and one thing only, a great controller. The buttons and sticks are more precise and give you much more control over the game. The grip is better and more comfortable and the layout is simply more intuitive. Playing some games almost felt like an entirely new experience as the added precision from the Pro-Controller made accomplishing some feats much easier than they ever were with the Joy-Con's. If you plan on any serious gaming I feel the Pro Controllers are a must. The Joy-Cons are serviceable and fine for some games, but the added control from the Pro Controller is worth it.

    Pro's:
    • Much more precision and control with the Pro Controller over the Joy-Cons
    • 40 hour battery life vs the joy cons 6
    • Much more comfortable in the hand than the Joy-Cons
    • Can be played while wired to the Switch Consol
    • Slightly cheaper than the Joy-Cons

    Con's:
    • The Joy cons are essentially two controllers, where the Pro Controller is only one
    • Heavier than the Joy-Cons. However, I felt this added weight actually helped with the comfort
    • No motion tracking or other functionality that the Joy-Cons have

    Thoughts:
    I would say unless you need 2 more controllers, or are replacing the Joy-Cons, go with the Pro Controller. Head to head in some games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the player using the Pro Controller would have an advantage over the one using the Joy-Cons. The Pro is much more precise, comfortable and easier to use.

Infatti, impostando nei settaggi della switch questo controller pro come primario rispetto ai joycon, vi permetterà di estrarre la Switch dalla base collegata alla tv, di appoggiarla su un supporto (anche uno usato per appoggiare i tablet) e senza usare i joycon di comandare l'intera Nintendo Switch e giocare in qualsiasi posto ci faccia comodo. Oltre alla comodità, è importante sapere che questo controller pro ha incorporati i sensori di movimento (ovvero il giroscopio); questi sensori facilitando il controllo dei movimenti fanno veramente la differenza nel controllo in gaming.     Dimenticavo una cosa importante... per far vedere questo controller pro alla nintendo switch basta collegarlo temporaneamente con il cavo usb in dotazione direttamente in una presa della base della Nintendo Switch. La Switch così effettua automaticamente l'allineamento del controller e lo attiva. Per vedere come si fa basta andare su youtube cercando "come sincronizzare il controller pro alla Nintendo Switch" e troverete i video di spiegazione su come "sync" ovvero allineare e rendere primario il controller pro rispetto ai joycon in dotazione.

Inoltre questo controller pro ha anche il sensore NFC, e cioè è quel sensore che permette, appoggiandoci sopra un amiibo Nintendo, di interagire con esso salvandoci dentro le partite, le configurazioni personali dei mii e attraverso il salvataggio dei dati di gaming nell'amiibo di ricevere per i vostri inkling di Splatoon vestiti e armi omaggio gratuite in base al raggiungimento di punteggi prefissati. Questo controller pro viene fornito unitamente ad un cavetto usb per la ricarica, che così può essere attaccato per la ricarica in qualsiasi trasformatore di corrente usb (che non è in dotazione), come quello che sicuramente avete già in dotazione per i vostri cellulari. Una volta carico la durata della batteria interna è super, vi permetterà di giocare anche per più di 8 ore consecutive... veramente eccellente! Impossibile assegnare meno di 5 stelle anche se costa caro (pagato a Dicembre 2018 euro 69,77)
    Dimenticavo una cosa importante... per far vedere questo controller pro alla nintendo switch basta collegarlo temporaneamente con il cavo usb in dotazione direttamente in una presa della base della Nintendo Switch. La Switch così effettua automaticamente l'allineamento del controller e lo attiva. Per vedere come si fa basta andare su youtube cercando "come sincronizzare il controller pro alla Nintendo Switch" e troverete i video di spiegazione su come "sync" ovvero allineare e rendere primario il controller pro rispetto ai joycon in dotazione.

    This is an original product. So as far as quality goes, there is no doubt as to how good it is.
    Regarding whether or not you must/should buy it, this is what I have to say.
    The controller is as ergonomic as an Xbox controller; remember, they are the pioneers of ergonomics. So there's a huge improvement while playing games such as Bayonetta, Astral Chain, and of course, Legend of Zelda.
    I did finish the entire Zelda game with the default controller attachment, so I don't mean you cannot live without this controller. But once you get it, there is no going back.

    I recommend this only if you have the budget to spare.

    Não conhecia o Pro Controller, achei mto bom de se jogar.
    Para jogos que exigem que se pressione os botões muitas vezes ou que se use muito os analógicos, acabam ajudando a poupar os joy-cons, que são mais frágeis e onde pode ocorrer o "drift".

    É bem confortável de se jogar, bem melhor de pegar do do que um joy-con, no geral. Mas claro que os joy-cons também têm suas vantagens, podem virar 2 controles e possuem os controles de movimento utilizados em alguns jogos específicos.

    o único defeito que eu diria, é que por vezes, o nintendo switch não detecta o controle tão facilmente... Por vezes, eu tive que conectar ao cabo HDMI, junto ao switch e o controle, para ser detectado. Além disso, é um pouco mais pesado também do que um joy-con, mas isso já era esperado.
    No geral, excelente controle pro Switch.
