    The official Nintendo Switch charger will effectively charge your Nintendo Switch, who could have guessed? It's just an overpriced USB-C cable with a wall plug though, so you could buy off-brand and save yourself a bunch of money.

    There isn't much to say about it, it's a USB-C PD charger that let's me take a proper charger with me when I travel without digging in the rats nest of cables around my TV to extract the charger the Switch came with from the dock. It's clearly made well, you know that no corners were cut in terms of safety (something which I have become more keenly worried about when it comes to no-name chargers without any real certifications), and the price especially when on sale is pretty fair by Nintendo accessory standards considering it can be used to charge other things as well.

    In fact, this charger charges my phone just as well if not faster than the charger that came with it. This is particularly nice when travelling because it means one less charger/cable set to pack when you're taking your Switch with you provided your phone uses USB-C and supports USB-C PD. The actual charger brick is a little bit bigger than most phone chargers but doing double duty makes it worth bringing.

    The only thing that would have been an improvement is if the charging cable were not permanently attached to the wall wart, which would have made it more flexible for using the cable for other things or changing up the length (no need for such a long cable for travel, for example).
