It arrived on day later than initially advised but we were kept informed so no problem and both the seller and 鶹 CR was very quick to respond to a payment issue we encountered trying to apply a couple of $200 Joker CC’s to the purchase. We won’t be using the 7 in 1 Smart Excel (an uprade to our 5 in one Foodi) until tonight but we love that all the components store together as a compact unit and the built-in smart therometer is a feature we are really looking forward to! This model is in high demand and has received outstanding reviews so thanks to the Seller for getting it to us for a decent price! Due to high demand it has NOT been featured in any sales event and Ninja & 鶹 seem to be directing all sales to TP sellers. 🤷‍♂️👍

    Used it a few times. The grill function with the lid open is very handy when adding cowboy butter to your steaks. Gets hot enough to put nice grill marks on it. Griddle fits over the grate and has ridges that lift it up so it doesn't slope as much. This model can use the bottom heater and upper to cook faster.

    I used the Ninja FG551 for 5 years and recently upgraded to the IG651, hoping for an improved experience. While the exterior design of the IG651 is definitely more modern and appealing, two major drawbacks led me to return it almost immediately:

    1. The internal height has been reduced, so I can no longer fit a whole chicken inside.

    2. The container’s edges are significantly lower compared to the FG551, which limits its capacity—especially problematic when cooking juicy or larger portions of food.

    Unfortunately, despite the sleek design, the reduced functionality was a dealbreaker for me.

    This Ninja Grill does nto work int he UAE. Be very careful. It runs on 110v USA power source and the UAE and most fo the world is 240v. The seller should not be shipping it to the UAE.

After several years of testing, here's my take:

    The Pros:

    • XL Cooking Surface: The "XL" designation is no joke. This grill offers ample space to cook for a family of four or even larger gatherings. You can easily fit multiple burgers, steaks, or even a whole chicken.

    • Versatile Functionality: Beyond grilling, it offers air frying, baking, roasting, broiling, dehydrating, and even a flat griddle option. This versatility truly makes it a multi-purpose appliance, potentially replacing several single-use gadgets. The probe/smart thermometer with metal braided wire is especially cool when grilling a steak! No more guessing, as it tells you the exact temp of the steak and when to flip it!

    • Smart Cook System: The built-in smart thermometer and pre-programmed settings take the guesswork out of cooking. It monitors the internal temperature and alerts you when your food is cooked to your desired level. This is a game-changer, especially for those less confident in their grilling skills.

    • Excellent Sear: The grill grates deliver impressive sear marks and a genuinely grilled flavor.

    • Easy Cleanup: The removable grill grates and grease tray are dishwasher safe, making cleanup a breeze.

    • Reduced Smoke: While not entirely smokeless, the design does a decent job of minimizing smoke compared to traditional outdoor grilling. You do notice a tab bit, but nothing that would set-off your smoke detector.

    The Cons:

    • Size: The "XL" size, while a benefit for cooking capacity, also means this appliance takes up a significant amount of counter space.

    • Price: It's a premium appliance with a premium price tag. Do you really need it.. yes you do.

    • Learning Curve: While the smart features are helpful, there's still a bit of a learning curve to mastering all the different functions and settings. Read the manual thoroughly and you'll be ready to go quick!

    If you have the counter space and budget, this is definitely worth considering.

    I cannot say enough good things about the Ninja IG651 Foodi Smart XL Pro 7-in-1 Indoor Grill/Griddle Combo.

    This little gadget has given me a renewed love of cooking. About 3 years ago I purchased a Blackstone Flat Top Griddle, Electric Smoker, and an Oklahoma Joe's Longhorn Combo (offset smoker, charcoal grill, propane grill, all with a side burner too). I liked my outdoor kitchen but soon realized I wasn't using them often as I thought I would due to extreme hot and cold weather temps and the hassle of cleaning up. This is what led to my purchase of the Ninja OG701 7-in-1 Outdoor Electric Grill & Smoker. I enjoyed it so much I decided to buy the Ninja Foodi for indoor cooking.

    I've had the Ninja Foodi XL 7-in-1 for 2 ½ weeks and used the griddle 3 times, air crisp option 2 times, grill 4 times and broil once. I consider myself to be a good cook. My cooking expertise leans toward Thai, Mexican, and Indian cuisines. However, I tend to get in a hurry when frying over easy eggs and break the yolks. Plus I gave up cooking steaks years ago because I hardly ever can get them Medium Rare.

    Everything I have made on the Foodi has turned out perfectly. Grilled Salmon and Ribeye Steak were restaurant quality. The slipperiness of the griddle plate makes over easy eggs a breeze with in tact runny yolks. All pancakes were evenly cooked at the same time regardless of where they were on the griddle. Air Crisp zucchini fries and eggplant slices were delightfully crunchy and tasty. The baked (then broiled) meatloaf was slightly crispy on the outside yet moist on the inside. Baked skinless chicken thighs were done to perfection and very juicy.

    The temperature probe is fairly accurate, though my Thermapen has always been spot on so I tend to use that when cooking something super fussy. When you set a temp and insert the probe, the Ninja shuts off as soon as the programmed temp is reached. It then reminds you to let the food rest.

    After cooking,comes clean up. Nothing could be easier than cleaning the Ninja Foodi. The grill, griddle, and air crisp basket come clean with a sprayer faucet. Seriously, no wiping or scrubbing - a strong spray removes everything within 15 to 20 seconds. Then a quick wipe with a soapy sponge or dishcloth gets rid of any residual greasiness. I see no reason why I'd run them through the dishwasher. I also remove the splatter screen and wipe both sides with a soapy sponge then rinse under the sprayer - it still looks brand new.

    The only critique I have is that the included recipe pamphlet seems to have incorrect cook times on many recipes. I've seen other reviews stating the same thing…cook times are too long. I'd suggest always using an instant read thermometer or probe for greater accuracy when cooking.

    All in all, I'd strongly suggest getting a Ninja grill, or get two like I did.
