- Reviewed in Canada on June 8, 2025This Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven maxes out at 700F, which is more than enough for Neapolitan-style pizza at home. While the "5-in-1" might suggest multiple cooking modes, it actually refers to the five preset temperature profiles: Neapolitan, thin crust, New York, pan, and custom. That said, the presets are handy and take the guesswork out of dialing in the right temp for each style. The oven heats up in under 30 minutes - similar to preheating a pizza steel in a kitchen oven or firing up a propane pizza oven. Once hot, it delivers excellent results - crusts with a crispy airy texture. The heat distribution is very even, so there is no need to rotate the pizza mid-bake. There is also a built in timer you can manually start once your pizza goes in.
Design wise, the oven is straightforward and user-friendly for both newcomers and experienced home pizzaiolos. It weighs about 13 kg 608 gms (30 pounds) and measures 20.78 x 16.22 x 12.4 inches - compact and light enough to be called 'portable," though it still requires access to an outlet. The controls are clearly labeled, and a bright internal light lets you monitor the pizza as it cooks. Whether you're just starting out or you've been perfecting your pizza game for years, this Ninja Artisan 5-in-1 portable electric pizza oven is an incredible choice. I'm genuinely impressed and excited to keep experimenting with different doughs and styles.

- Reviewed in Canada on June 14, 2025Today I am reviewing the Ninja Artisan 5-in-1 Outdoor Pizza Oven. As someone who’s used everything from gas to wood-burning pizza ovens, I wasn’t expecting an electric model to impress me—especially not one this compact. But the Ninja Pizza Oven doesn’t just hold its own, it actually delivers. This thing is a serious contender in the backyard pizza game.
First and foremost, it cranks to 700°F and pumps out blistered, crisp 12” pizzas in around four minutes flat. No flipping, no rotating, just load your pie and let the oven do its thing. The crust gets proper leoparding, the crumb is airy, and the cheese melts into that perfect bubbling layer you usually only see in proper Neapolitan joints. Having used high-end gas and wood-fired setups, I can say the results here are genuinely impressive—and that’s not a compliment I hand out lightly.
It comes with six dialed-in pizza presets—New York, Neapolitan, pan, thin crust, frozen, and a custom option. Each setting fine-tunes the temp and time to fit the dough style, and it actually works. The pan pizza was a standout with a crispy, golden base and soft interior. The Neapolitan mode nailed the balance of char and chew. The custom setting gives you full control for your own dough styles, which I appreciate.
But this oven isn’t just for pizza. With its broil and bake functions, plus tight temperature control, I’m confident I could cook a roast or sear a steak in here. A cast iron pan and a good ribeye would do beautifully under that top heat. I haven’t tested that yet, but based on the way it handles heat and browning, the potential is definitely there.
The included 12” x 12” baking pan expands your options too. I’ve used it for mac and cheese, roasted vegetables. I like being able to cook mains and sides outdoors in one unit makes this more than just a novelty—it’s actually useful.
Another win is the electric precision. No open flames, no propane tanks—just consistent heat from 90°F up to 700°F. That range means you can proof dough at a controlled 90°F, then crank it for the final bake without missing a beat. It’s low maintenance, reliable, and beginner-friendly, but with enough control for serious cooks. I’ve used a lot of gas ovens, and there is too much of a learning curve for people, and it ends in burnt disappointment.
The viewing window is a smart addition—it lets you watch your food cook without opening the oven and dropping the temp. Watching your pizza rise and bubble through the glass feels like a pro move, and it’s genuinely satisfying.
The oven is weather-resistant and clearly designed for outdoor use. That said, there are two disappointing omissions: there’s no pizza peel included, and no all-weather cover in the box. For the price, both of these feel like they should be standard. You’ll need to budget a bit extra for those essentials if you plan to use the oven regularly or leave it outside. It would be a hassle to bring in after every use unless you plan on using it occasionally.
What you do get is a high-quality 12” pizza stone, a matching baking pan, and a recipe guide that’s actually helpful—not just filler.
Bottom line? The Ninja Artisan 5-in-1 Outdoor Pizza Oven is more than a gimmick. It’s a legit cooking tool that rivals some gas and wood-fired setups I’ve used—without the hassle. With its speed, consistency, and versatility, it turns outdoor cooking into something exciting and genuinely useful.
Four and a half stars from me. Add a peel and include the cover, and we’re talking five.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 1, 2025Comes very well packaged and should survive some rough delivery. Incredibly easy to setup, just put in the pizza stone, plug it in and you're good to start pre-heating. Takes quite a while to heat up to the max temperature of 700F; but after tempting with a infrared scanner, it did get up to that temperate at the center of the stone. There are all the pleasant tones and sounds that come from all the Ninja line of appliances telling you when it's ready. The pre-programmed timers and such work well and it's a good guidance for those new to making pizza from scratch. The included instructions also have some good dough recipes too! Love the included light and window to be able to take a peek at your food as it's cooking.
In terms of cons, would say it doesn't get as hot as I was originally expecting; it does max out at 700F which isn't as hot as some other gas or some wood fired ovens; though those are significantly more troublesome to maintain and use. The lack of an included pizza peel is a bit of an oversight I think as it is absolutely required for making pizza and really the only way to get anything in and out in a safe manner while taking advantage of the pizza stone itself.
Overall, very impressed by this oven; at first I was a bit disappointed that it didn't get hotter than 700F; but it was clearly part of the listing itself that I may have just missed. This is pretty beginner friendly though; with the guided prompts and pre-programmed cooking times, it's helps set the baseline of where to start your pizza making journey. The door keeps the temperatures pretty even inside and means you may not need to even rotate your pizza to get even cooking like you do with some other ovens as well! Would highly recommend for those looking to start their pizza making journey, especially given the price!
