35$ for a Blu-ray disc is insane. I know physical media sales are going down. But this is not how they will go back up.
The movie itself is a gem. The idea of putting this in the 70s, when Carson was still on and The Exorcist was in theatre is pure genius ! It sets it apart from all the other "possessed kid" movies. David Dastmalchian gives another of great performance here. Don't miss this one

I've seen a lot of movies. A lot. But every now and again something comes along that reminds me that not everything is played out, and this movie did that for me. A fairly slow burn, this film is shot from the perspective of a late night TV show, with occasional flashbacks and montages to add context. Not quite found footage, but in a similar vein the film explores possession, skeptics, cults and pacts, and ultimately how far we would go for success and fame. Well acted, with familiar but original storytelling. Highly recommend to any fans of the supernatural horror genre.
I am a horror movie junkie and I have to say that this movie is by far one of my all time favorites! I loved the plot of it because it was something new and interesting. The only downfall is that I wish it had more special features.
Shudder has always made great films and this proves it yet again. Always underrated David Dastmalchian delivers once again in one of his few lead roles where he is utilized correctly. The fact the film is laced in outright silliness and great writing to spoof sweeps week in the late night tv genre only enhances it. The film likely will go down as a cult classic and only build over time. It has that special feel to it scaly it’s very well made. A great escape for 2 hours with a lot of fun and intrigue.
