Sturdy, future proof entry race rig

- Reviewed in Canada on December 1, 2020Verified PurchaseI have now had my FGT Lite for over a month. I put about 2-4 hours of racing in per day on this rig and so far I like it a lot. If you are going to be spending around 300 on a playset, save the extra bit of money and get one of these.
I'll break it down into 3 areas.
1. Comfort. This is a pretty comfortable seat if you want to feel like you are in the car. It's like a hammock kind of sling so it feels very different in the various positions. Overall though it gives where it needs to and stays firm enough to really smash the brakes when you need to. The chair is adjustable into a bunch of positions, you can find a good one, it just takes some time and adjusting.
2. Future use. FGT Lite has space for anything and everything. I currently have it mounted with a t150 wheel and t3pa pedals. Both sit nicely on the mounts, screws supplied with the rig fit nicely in both.
I have since ordered a fanatec setup and I do not have to worry about changing or modifying my chair. It's all there to be mounted, and comes with the bolts that will fit the rig nicely.
3. Feel. The whole thing feels really nice when you get it dialed into your size and the position you want to be in. It took me a while to adjust everything, but overall now that I am in the same position every time I race, I am getting better, faster. The sling part of the chair makes for an interesting experience, sometimes I find myself leaning slightly into corners and the chair sort of leans with me a few degrees. Feels very good to drive in. I play gt sport and F1 on a ps4 and it's been excellent.
If I could have given it 4.5 I would have, only because the little orange holes in the headrest part of my seat aren't glued on well, so they move around a bit, but outside of that the whole thing is pretty well built.
For all the people who read and worry about putting it together, make usre you have the tools that are needed to do the job. An Ikea wrench isn't going to do you any favors here, make sure you use a good set of sockets and no electric tools at all. It goes together nice and tight, I have zero issues with the self assembly of this product.
Thanks,
Hope this all helps other people with a decision.

- Reviewed in Canada on February 16, 2022Verified PurchaseAs others have mentioned, the chair can be a bit of a challenge to set up with the included instructions - so also plan to use the online videos from NLR as they are more useful.
For our F-GT Lite, all the holes were lined up properly and no damage to any of the pieces in shipping. The hardest part of the actual build was inserting the rear legs into the plastic holders, as the tolerances were TIGHT. That being said, once those legs are inserted fully into the holders they aren't going anywhere! (and the additional bolts are a nice touch, but aren't adding much).
Getting the seat configured for a 6'3" person in GT position takes a little work, but a combination of raising the front legs as high as they would go and angling the rear legs allowed sufficient leg (knee) room under the wheel while still being able to position the pedals comfortably. Note - we were able to use the pedal mounts as intended (as far back as they go) without resorting to workarounds.
I also recommend using the shipping strap as suggested by NLR to stiffen the wheel mount. It works great.
We're using the seat with Logi 920 wheel/pedal setup and shifter. The shifter cable is a stretch to get it to the wheel (under the seat so it's out of the way), but just reaches.
Loving the seat and looking forward to more sim racing sessions going forward!
- Reviewed in Canada on August 7, 2024Verified PurchasePros: 1, super confortable I can easily sit through long race without any discomfort.
2, I like how I can set it up differently for f1 and gta
I marked it so I can find the set up I like each time
3, I like how I can fold it and put away since I have a small place and I don’t usually play on weekdays.
Cons:1 super heavy and akward to fold once the steering wheel has been set up
2, the steering wheel mount does not hold very well no matter how hard I tighten it still goes down.
3, it is sturdy but not quite how I like it, so I use a ratchet strap under neath to tighten it. Then it’s super solid
4, I don’t like how I can only get in and out from one side. I wish I could change the set up so the steering wheel opens from the other side. This one is the one that bothers me the most.
Hopefully these help others to make their purchase decision. Not being able to change the bar where the steering wheel sits to the other side so it opens from different side is the reason why I gave it 4 stars.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 24, 2024Verified PurchaseI was hesitant on writting a review about this one, but I will. Overall, after you get used to the position and the "hammock" feel of the seat, the rig is actually good.
It was easy to put together, a bit clamsy with all the locks open but after you figure it out, it's easy.
I normally use it in the F1 config since the GT config feels too tight. The wheel gets either too close to my chest or hitting my knees. Not ideal in my case.
It's easy to fold the pedal support in to move it around, if needed. Overall length is big...you need some serious space to use this rig. But...I like it.
Overall, if you see this on sale, it's worth it I think.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but bigger than expected
Verified PurchaseChair is great and comfortable to ride, setup is a bit tricky cause you can't set it up while sitting in it, but you have to get out, adjust, sit back in, get out readjust etc.
Mine came with one of the plastic clips broken but luckily it's the smallest one at the feet, and that one you only need to adjust once.
Once again the chair is really big and with the equipment on its heavy as well so take that into account.
Overall i would recommend this product, i don't think you can get better for this price.

5.0 out of 5 stars very very nice
Verified Purchaseamazing, using it with g29. a bit of a hassle to set it up but very nice to use. am 164 cm and using it in F1 position. works greats. a bit uncomfortable after long hours because there is no lumber support. but can be easily solved by purchasing a neck/back/ and buttocks causion from amazon. Two years using and no problems.

5.0 out of 5 stars INCREIBLE!!! COMODA
