I cut side bars for wheelbase mount because it was too high and blocking my monitor 15cm ish. Cutting them also cuts off printed logo so I had to put some decals on ( that came along in the gt-elite package) as you can see in the picture. I used my duct tape for vent to cover cut-off printed logo
I made sure I still get enough height to move wheelbase up just in case I decide to get motion platform v3 in the future. Cutting them off took me about 10mins/side with a pipe saw by hand and I took a break in between lol
Coming from wheelstandpro, the difference is night and day. Drifting, cornering, heel and toe etc. Everything is so much better. I think cockpit is the first thing i should have purchased to start sim racing.

While constructed to suit the mid-range category with a “4080” profile, through cutting edge engineering and manufacturing, combined with unique components, fixtures, and reinforcements, the GTElite is the most rigid mid-range cockpit. Through this innovative process, the GTElite in some cases is stronger than conventional “16040” cockpits seen on the market.
With an extensive ecosystem in mind, the GTElite is upgradable to be compatible with Next Level Racing Motion Products and has the ability to be transformed into a multi-position cockpit solution with the ready set kits.
BUILT TO BE STRONG
Conventional corner brackets are things of the past. The GTElite Cockpit utilizes an 8mm thick Carbon Steel Reinforced Upright Direct Mounting plates, the GTElite has a stronger reinforcement and connection between the vertical uprights and the base of the chassis. To eliminate any movement and increase the clamping force between the components, custom-engineered full channel width spring ball T-slot nuts are used throughout the build + through bolts for areas that require higher clamp force and rigidity. The 8mm Carbon Steel Sandwich Plate also provides a connection between the vertical uprights and the pedal plate to lock in and increase the reinforcement between the structural parts of the cockpit. The strength continues with precision machined holes to bolt the base of the profile directly for a more rigid foundation.

High-end features like strong wheel and pedal base like never seen before now available at a mid-range price point. Precisely designed multi-folded wheel, pedal, and shifter plates combined with thick carbon steel removes deflection and flex to provide a stronger and more rigid platform for users to attach their highest performing electronics. The strength can be seen in the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Tests comparing the innovative GTElite plate designs to other flat steel or aluminum designs seen in conventional cockpits on the market.
- Wheel Deck –equivalent to 14.3mm steel or 20.85mm aluminum
- Pedal Deck – equivalent to 10.84mm steel or 15.83mm aluminum
- Shifter Plate – equivalent to 18.51 steel or 29.18mm aluminum
INNOVATIVE FLEX-FREE NLR SEAT SLIDERS & BRACKET SYSTEM
The innovative Next Level Racing Seat Sliding System has been designed and engineered to eliminate the issue of flex found in conventional seat sliders used in simulators. Our ratchets easily slide your seat back and forth to find the desired position for a flex-free racing experience.

This will be my second build. I had a Trakracer TR120 before this. I will only be purchasing Next Level from now on. It is a much better thought out design. Assembly took just a couple hours. It is rock solid with no flex whatsoever in the wheel base. Several things are included such as seat brackets and buttkicker mounts that have to be purchased with other brands. The brackets allowed me to mount a Momo Super Cup seat very easily. I ordered the monitor mounts after assembly of the base. For the money I don’t see how you can beat this product. SIDE NOTE: the Wheelplate was pretty difficult for me solo(having to hold one side up while screwing in the other side) but aside from that, the only other issue was 2 t-nuts that were already cross-threaded. There's plenty of extras though.
Ergonomics are easily modified. I'm 5'5 & 160 so there was a lot of modifying lol. The adjustments that can be made to the pedal plates, wheelplate, shiftplate & more makes this an awesome rig for my family as well.
Conclusion: There's absolutely NO FLEX anywhere. Without a seat this cockpit is what I'd consider expensive but, it's well worth the money. I can't speak much for any other brands(this is only my 3rd rig) but I won't be replacing this setup anytime soon.
