Very uncomfortable for more than a short session. Likely returning.
Ugh. Reviews. Won't lie. I'm having a hard time with this one. It's a product that was made with good intentions but IMO, was executed just a tad poorly. TLDR: 90% sure I'm returning this. It's just not comfortable to sit in for more than a 25min sprint race. Anything an hour or longer....not a chance. I had to basically re-construct the seat with my own materials to make it even remotely comfortable. Now, in depth: I got this because there's almost no cockpits or seats available from anybody these days and the monthly payment thing was a huge plus. Next Level isn't a huge name but it's got a good reputation. It arrived promptly and I will warn you now: This thing is a lot bigger laid out than it looks. Putting it together was....well...at times annoying as some holes don't quite line up and it's awkward getting some things in place by yourself. The tools provided...meh. The wrench is awful and thankfully I'm not short of tools. Took me about an hour to get it together and then about a week to get it even remotely comfortable. Do NOT use power tools or tighten anything too much as the bolts that come with are of really poor quality. The biggest issue is comfort. It just doesn't offer any. I literally....wait....yes, literally had to re-upholster this thing myself because it's just not comfortable to sit in. Fortunately, I had an older chair I wasn't using that had padding that is perfect for racing. As you can see in the photos, if you didn't see the strap on the left side, you wouldn't know who made this as I basically had to re-invent the seat myself. And no, I didn't have to physically alter it. I basically just made a racing slip cover lol Because of the way you get in and out, I have to slide the whole rig back from my screens to open the swing arm the wheel mounts to because if I don't it will hit one of the screens. Even if you are just using one screen in the proper configuration, unless it's on a moveable arm, you're going to have to slide backwards before getting out. Worse when you have a keyboard/mouse or shifter mounted. Seriously. Not optimal. I went through a few different gel and memory foam seat cushions, but nothing helped until I added what you see. I'm not super tall. 5'11. Clock in around 240lbs. The seat is rated for 150kg or 330.693lbs so I'm not anywhere close to being too heavy for it. Thrown in the wheel and base at around 11 lbs and still, I'm nowhere near max weight. It's plenty adjustable but the problem is the seat's canvas/suede-like material. There is no joint where the seat meets the backrest like you have in any two piece chair. Once you sit in it, if you're a bigger person, it flexes the back out so what you end up with is a curve instead of the normal flat bottom and upright back. I tried every combination of height adjustments and the two hooks on the side of the seat don't stay in place so, if I hadn't modded it, keeping it in a more comfortable position is not possible, at least with the one I got. The price is okay I guess, for a patio chair with a wheel mount, but for a couple hundred more, you can get a proper rig with a real seat and that's the way I guess I'm going to have to go. Too bad. I was hoping to like this one.

Bought this set up for Christmas. My so. Loves it, takes some time to assemble but once assembled it is good quality and sturdy. My so. Says it is comfortable for playing an hour or so. Functions as expected for the price. I would recommend if someone is looking at a light weight option that does not take up too
    Much space.

This is a gamechanger if you don't want some giant cockpit setup. It's realtively cheap compared to most options and it (kinda) folds away.

Assembly is kind of a pain and there's a lot of forcing things to go where they should but once it's all set up, it's very sturdy. As for the folding, it kind of folds away. It's been impossible for me to get it folded away like you see in the pictures on here and on the box, but I've gotten it pretty close. The only problem is that it isn't something that you will pull out, use for a few hours, and then put away because it's too much of a hassle to fold it up into anything compact. Took me like 15 minutes to get it folded into a decent size so I mostly leave it out and fold it away when I know I'm gonna need some more space.

As for comfort, it's great for the first couple of hours but since it's more of a hammock and less of a chair, the rounded part where the seat meats the backrest gets very uncomfortable on the tailbone. I guess it's kind of a good reminder to get up and do something else, but it isn't ideal and that's why I took off a star. The folding issues aren't really issues, just inconveniences, but the comfort is an issue IMO

I really like this gaming cockpit. I was overwhelmed by all the choices available but this one had monthly payments through 鶹 so I chose it instead. It is a great racing cockpit and my wheel and pedals and gear shifter work well with it. It took me around 2 hours to build it and another hour to attach the wheel and pedals and gear shifter. The chair is comfortable. I read a review on here that said it was difficult to sit in for very long and I haven't found that to be my experience at all. I spent 6 hours playing gran turismo yesterday and had no problems at all. If you are wondering what the extra bolts and nuts and washers are for when you finish building the cockpit, keep them around because you will need them to bolt in the steering wheel and gear shifter and pedals. I like that they included bolts for those accessories because the wheel doesn't come with any bolts in the box.

Something the installation manual doesn't include until the end of the book is that you have to turn the latches and tighten them before you sit in the chair. I didn't realize that they had to be turned and locked in place and so when I sat down in the chair the first time it completely collapsed on me. I thought I must have been too fat for the chair but after I adjusted the latch and tightened up everything it held the frame firmly and hasn't collapsed again.

The chair set can be folded up although it is difficult right now with all my gear bolted onto it. If I wanted to travel with it I would have to detach everything and that would be a pain at this point.

I really like this setup and for $60 a month it is certainly affordable for me.

The Foldable Simulator Racing Cockpit is a solid option for racing enthusiasts looking for a more portable setup. It’s lightweight, foldable, and easy to store, making it ideal if you’re short on space or want to take it on the go. The frame is sturdy and provides a good level of adjustability, so you can find a comfortable driving position. However, if you have lower back issues, it might not be the most comfortable over long periods. The seat is decent but lacks lower back forming support, which can lead to discomfort after extended use. While it’s a great cockpit for the price, those with specific comfort needs might need to add some extra padding or consider a more ergonomic option.

Quite possibly the best quality chair in its class. Took about an hour to set up. many adjustments Feels like you're actually in a real racecar. I think - I've never been in a real racecar. But with this I am confident that I am the best driver on the course. I connected my G29 Logitech racing wheel, pedals and shifter. Now I feel like using them.
If you have a wheel you're eventually going to want to get a chair like this for $300 ish Cdn dollars - to see if you actually like racing games. This one does the job well. Comfortable - I'm just under 6 feet and I way about 230 so I'm pretty tubby. Happy racing and get out of my way if I'm coming up from behind you!!!

It's sturdy when it's built, but it's a tad finicky to assemble alone.
It's good once it's built, quite large and wide so it's not the easiest thing to lug around, but it's totally doable.
The benefit of the size is that it's comfy in terms of width, but it's not a good setup for long sessions - maybe add some padding or something.
    Good for starters though
