Love the ability to store milk to reuse.
This is my first Lattissima machine. I've had a few Nespresso original lines and Vertuos, so that's what I'm comparing this to. I'm really happy that this machine takes original line pods which are less expensive, easier to come by and available in other brands and do-it-yourself pods. The coffee brewing part of this machine works just like my other Nespresso's, you turn it on, drop the pod in and press your selection. One thing that disappointed me about this machine is that it's not connectable to the Nespresso app. Which means all the pre-set drinks can't be customized for the amount of water or milk they use. Which in the end means, I only really use 2 selections on the machine, lungo and milk froth because all of the other pre-set recipes provide too little beverage for what I'm used to. Lungo and milk froth, is the only setting I could get to fill my typical sized coffee mug. I love having the milk in the reusable container. After use I can store the milk inside it's container for up to 2 days. I used to hate cleaning my aerochinno after every use. But what I get in milk storage I pay in clean up. This milk frother device needs to be cleaned in the dishwasher, there's four parts to it, one part is a set of connected thin rubber tubes which are a magnet for bacteria if not cleaned correctly. The manual does give another detailed cleaning procedure if you don't have a dishwasher but it seems excessive. Since I don't tend to run my dishwasher as frequently as this needs cleaning, there's at least a day here and there where I go without milk froth. The machine itself is nice to look at and feels quality built. If I had to choose my color again, I would take white because the black is a dust magnet. The overflow catchment is well designed too and allows for easy rinsing to keep the machine clean. The water container is at least as large as my former Nespresso Expert machine but it doesn't give a warning that the water is out and at least once I've had it run dry without warning. Overall, it is a nice machine but it's not really everything it's cracked up to be.

    All the presettings are cool, but if you are looking to do lungo pulls for more roasted notes from the espresso you need to use the manual settings which it has! Love the fact that it tells you when it needs descaling too. And it's a pretty easy process. The Gran Latissima is well designed and looking like it will last as lkng as we keep up on maintenance. We've been using it up to 10 times some days in our home and it has been up to the task perfectly so far.

    Some times just water would come out of the coffee part - not a huge issue I guess cause you just have to extract the pod and put it back in and it usually worked. Biggest issue is when that happened with the milk frothier. After making a coffee, the frothier would pour water into my freshly made coffee - wasting coffee after coffee. The solution provided by Nespresso - send it for repair and be out of a machine for months. Save your money and buy something else.

    Have had many Nespresso machines and we wanted to get an all in one to reduce counter space. After a few months of just not enjoying your morning coffee this thing is a dud!! Started getting a coffee on way into work now. And biggest difference is it doesn’t brew a hot coffee. It’s luke warm.
