Neewer Photo Studio 3-Roller Wall Mount Manual Background Support System - Chain Driven Backdrop Elevation System

This is a great unit for your permanent studio set-ups. It can be attached directly into your wall/ceiling, allowing you to set-up your personal studio with ease

  • (1) For Paper Backdrop Roll with Center Rod - Directly slot the paper backdrop into the expansion rod;
  • (2)For Muslin or Canvas Backdrop Without Center Rod - You'll need to get a center rod (e.g. 2 inches PVC pipe) and attach it to the expansion rod and roll the backdrop onto the pipe. (**You can use water PVC pipe available in hardware shops, and cut it to any length to ensure the tube is longer than the width of the backdrop.**)

  • Package Contents: 3x Pairs of Expansion Sticks (6 Total: 3 for Left and 3 for Right Side with Gears); 3x Roller Chains; 3x Counterweights; 2x Wall Mount Brackets with Hook; 8x Expansion Screws

It's very hard and strong. it has good quality. If you have short ceiling like basement, attach it on the ceiling not wall. ??A good tip for people with far stud: you can buy pipe and add in the side with out chain. It helps you to extend the length of your stemless backdrop paper.( the third image). Also you need to adjust the movement of paper from this side. Donot make it to tight or too loose. GOOD LUCK ?

    I've been looking for a better back drop system for some time. This hits all the marks, great product. But I will say a few things about it that will hopefully save you some time and $.
    First off, it says a 2in minimum for roll size but recommends you use PVC or aluminum tubing as a base so the roll doesn¡¯t sag in the middle over time. They also say to make your PVC or aluminum slightly longer then the roll itself.
    Only problem is almost all rolls you get are also 2in diameter. So that doesn¡¯t make any sense because they don¡¯t fit over and I ended up just rolling the paper onto the 2in PVC piping that I already had bought and installed, which was a pain.
    Then the chain needs to be perfectly balanced for the weight at the end of the roll (I used magnets) and the locking mechanism at the other side of the roll needs to be tension adjusted just right or it will just completely unfurl and you won¡¯t even be able to let go of the chain.
    Once you can get that part down-so far so good.
    Also the instructions are almost illiterate there is so many grammar mistakes ? Come on guys! Get someone to proof read your English before taking your product to market, you have a great system beyond that, 4 stars only because of the misleading info about the support system and poor instruction quality.
