Reliable brand and no fish burps!
I need a high dosage of omega-3 (particularly EPA) for health reasons, even though they aren't arthritis-related, and I need a formula that doesn't cause fish burps. This is the brand that solved both of those needs. I've taken their lower dosage lemon formula (1250mg) for years without issues, but this saves me having to take as many dosages throughout the day. For anyone concerned about the portions to cost ratio, keep in mind that the arthritis formula contains 2800mg per 1.5tsp; that's 1800mg EPA and 1000mg DHA. NutraSea's other lemon formula that comes in a 500ml bottle is measured according to 1tsp, but if you were to take 1.5tsp of it, you would only be getting 1875mg total; 1125mg EPA and 750mg DHA. I would say that the only advantage the 1250mg formula has over this 2800mg formula is that all you can taste is lemon, where-as with the higher dosage formula, there is a very slight fishy taste, but not enough to cause me any gastrointestinal side-effects, and it's easily washed away with a sip of something after taking it.
