Product description
Natural Factors Micronized L-Glutamine is an athletic support supplement that enhances muscle recovery, digestive system health, and immunity. As a naturally fermented, free-form amino acid, L-glutamine is more effective than the form obtained directly from food. Supplementing with L-glutamine helps restore levels lost during strenuous exercise, speeding up physical recovery and fuelling the cells. This formula uses micronization technology, making L-glutamine easier for your body to break down and absorb.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 13, 2025On the packaging the recommended dose is 5 capsules twice a day and the bottle has 60 in total. So its basically just 6 doses in a bottle. Far better to take it in a powder supplement unless you're looking specifically to just have a much smaller dose per day.
Otherwise it seems fine and has a good smell for some reason.
Expiry date is in 2028, well in the future (ordered mid 2025).
- Reviewed in Canada on May 19, 2025It is not possible to objectively evaluate the benefits or the efficacy of supplements through ordinary home use; so, I will not get into this product's effectiveness, and you can search the Internet for the benefits of the main ingredient of this product: L-Glutamine.
The bottle indicates that it was "formulated and packaged in Canada", which is usually a marketing text that indicates it was not manufactured in Canada. There was no information on where it was manufactured, but the product page indicates Canada as the country of origin too. It has an NPN number (Natural Product Number) that can be used to confirm that it was licensed in May 2008, and the license was revised in August 2021. There is only a single brand name associated with the license, and the license holder is Natural Factors Nutritional Products Limited.
Similar to the label on the product, the NPN product information page lists only a single medicinal ingredient: L-Glutamine. Risk information on the NPN page is as follows:
"Cautions and Warnings
Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Keep out of the reach of children."
It comes in a container with 60 capsules in it. The recommended dosage is 5 capsules, 2 times daily, which should have the bottle last for only 6 days if you follow the recommended dosage. The price was $16 CAD at the time of writing.
While I cannot confirm the claimed benefits or the product's efficacy, I see no reason to cut any stars from my rating. I appreciate that it was made in Canada and that it comes with a proper NPN number on the bottle. It comes in capsule form, but note that the same product is also sold in powder form from the same brand. While the capsule form is usually more practical for most things, others require a higher amount of daily intake that becomes impractical in capsule form. This is such an example. Taking 5 capsules at a time, a total of 10 capsules per day sounds too much for me. If you don't have anything against the powder form, I would recommend the powder form, but essentially they should be the same product.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 21, 2025After some research and reading how beneficial it is for recovery and muscle soreness...I began incorporating powder form after workout..and I do believe it helps..not entirely. but being powder it's not always convenient so having it in capsule form is just so much more convenient
- Reviewed in Canada on March 3, 2025Sometimes I just need a break from taking so many powders as it can be messy. This glutamine in capsules is a solution for that, as I don't have to deal with spoons or scoops either. It's calculated doses in easy to take capsules that are portable and easy to swallow one by one with water. Just like any other glutamine, there's no flavor, odor or after taste. I have no side effects and enjoy the benefits of gut health that it provides. I've used many Natural Factors supplements over the decades and never had any issues with any of them so this is a trusted brand to me.
