I keep coming back to the brand Natural Factors because based on the products I have tried from them, and I have tried my fair share of their products, they are a trusted brand. Plus they are ISURA clean verified and have a NPN.

This time I tried their BioCoenzymated Benfotiamine B1 plus Sulbutiamine. Depending on your use (bioavailability or polyneuropathy) the recommended dose is 2-3 capsules a day. For general use like myself the recommended dose is 1 capsule a day, based on the general dose this 60 capsule bottle will last me 2 months. And for use beyond 2 months it is recommended to consult a health care practitioner. I have been taking the 1 capsule a day and I have not had any adverse reactions. I have noticed a slight improvement in my energy. The bottle I got has an expiry date of 3 years and 6 months from the date of delivery.

The capsules are average size and don't have any odor. I usually take it in the morning around breakfast but there is no recommended time of day listed or direction to take with or without food.

I was excited to try this product because they used a proprietary EnviroSimplex technology to produce it that claims to optimize absorption. I can't say that it is absorbing more optimally, but I can say the increase in energy in the few weeks if using the product impressed me. 5/5

I'd been looking for a B1 supplement to assist in nerve function and energy production and I've learned that metabolically active forms of vitamins are absorbed easier and more efficiently. These Natural Factors supplements arrived safely secured and well packaged. Having the Natural Factors name on the product and knowing that the product is made in Canada provides a sense of confidence in the quality and dosage of the supplements. These are particularly good supplements for the fat soluble form of B1, Benfotiamine. A better way to top up thiamine in your body. Also great to see that this product is gluten free and fully vegan compliant. I will continue to seek out Natural Factors supplements for what I feel are lifestyle improving products.

Pros:

- Benfotiamine and sulbutiamine are top quality forms of vitamin B1, being much more bioavailable than other forms and especially good for brain and nerve health.

- I found the medium sized capsules to be easy to swallow. I didn't notice any aftertaste or any negative side effects.

- The bottle has an NPN number on it, which means that it's licensed as a natural health product in Canada. It also says it's packaged in Canada and tested for purity by Isura.

Cons:

- It doesn't say exactly how much of benfotiamine and sulbutiamine there are in each capsule, just 150 mg of both together.

- It contains "Farm Fresh Factors" as an ingredient which is basically a nonsense combination of random herbs, fruits, and vegetables in tiny amounts. Don't get me wrong, kale is very health but a few milligrams of it in a capsule does absolutely nothing for you. They add it for marketing purposes only which I don't like. Not to mention the only thing it could actually do is make this supplement unsuitable for people with specific allergies to these herbs fruits and veggies.

I'm not sure what benefits these ingredients impart and I am a little concerned that some of these may interact with any other medication taken.
