    This is lard. I made a mistake when ordering this in a hurry just before Christmas. I use this company’s beef tallow as a moisturizer and it’s wonderful. My family all love it. This item is a non-returnable product so I’ll have to find a way to use it in cooking. My mistake not theirs.

In addition to buying pancake mix from Vermont, I go out of my way to find leaf lard, the sweetest, highest temperature without smoking cooking oil I know of. I've made our family Sunday pancakes for over 50 years nearly every week, and wouldn't be without leaf lard as shortening and as the don't-stick-to-my-cast-iron comales (round griddles). I highly recommend this leaf lard which came quickly, very well packed, and tastes great!
