I'll begin by saying all of them were good and the rice cakes were nice and chewy (not old and hard)!!
- Sweet & Spicy - OMG SO GOOD! Was sweet and just the right amount of SPICY! Delicious, would buy this flavour again but either a larger sauce pack or the bag version, because the cup had maybe 1 cup of rice cakes in it? But enough sauce for all the pieces for sure (as they all did).
- Onion Butter - was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again solo.
- Black Soybean - I wasn't a huge fan of this flavour profile for other things I've tried but this was the best version of something with the jjajang flavour I've had so far! It was a bit spicy, which I really liked! I even ate the sauce in the bottom by itself, was pretty good!
- Rose - kind of reminded me of some kind of Michelina's microwave dinner, wasn't the greatest. Wasn't terrible, and if you like a rose sauce you may like this one. This sauce with rice cakes to me just don't match well. Least favourite of the bunch.
- Carbonara - Maybe it's because I've had the Samyang Buldak Carbonara Ramen but this was just missing in flavour. Perhaps I added too much water (wouldn't have been by much mind you) but it wasn't as creamy as those ramen packs are and there was no spice which I would have preferred. Still wasn't bad though, I just wouldn't buy it if it was by itself.
- Cheese - This one was good, I liked the little bits of the carrot in it, they were also a bit sweet.
Overall, I would only purchase the Sweet & Spicy or the Jjajang flavours again and in larger packs preferrable, however, it is quite expensive to purchased the bags on here (2 for $20.00 CAD seems like a bit much for rice cakes haha), though I might cave because they were delicious!
