HDMI 4K/60fps Ultra-HD Quality
The ATOM 4K Lite offers stunning video quality through its HDMI output that supports up to 2160p/60Hz resolution, with support for the latest video formats such as H.265/HEVC. It can feed digital surround sound to your home theater receiver for a cinema-like listening experience. Additionally, the ATOM 4K Lite provides analog AV output for connecting to an older TV, or for sending audio to a stereo system.

Fully Automatic Playback
Turn on its automatic playback feature and the ATOM 4K Lite will find and play media files on its own without any user input. It will also remember where you stopped watching on a video and resume playing from the stop point. Combined with the ability to loop and repeat videos continuously, the ATOM 4K Lite is a perfect player for simple digital signage.

    I bought this initially to play snowfall videos through a video projector to use at Christmas time. Worked fine for that, except that I noticed I had to get really close to the unit to get the remote control to work. I chalked it up to the unit being outside and tucked up in an enclosure.

    After I took down the projectors for the season, I moved it to my home entertainment system and connected it to a spare HDMI input on my AV receiver. This gave me the ability to insert an SD (or microSD in an adapter) or USB to play movies, music, and pictures. Again, worked perfectly. I did notice that the device would not play some relatively common video file formats, including AVIs using Motion JPEG, but this wasn't a big deal.

    Unfortunately, I discovered that the IR remote is really weak on this. I think it's the receiver on the unit itself, not the IR transmitter. I've tried using a SofaBaton U2 and another learning remote on it and I get the same poor results. I'm lucky if I can get the unit to operate using the remote at 10' to 12' away. This is doubly unfortunate because my equipment cabinet has a glass door. The glass doesn't seem to interfere much at all with using an IR remote on the other equipment, but I literally have to get up, open the door, and stand within 10' to get the Neumi to operate reliably. Kind of a bummer.

    But, overall, it does what it's supposed to and provides a good HDMI ouput to my system.
