I bought this because the angle of my monitors weren't great for sitting my camera on. I have a triple monitor stand so I figured clamping this to the stand I could get any angle I wanted.
And for that it's perfect.
Only issue is the pole for my monitor mount has more girth than thisnwas designed to clamp too, I found a solution anyways but having it include a clamp for thicker poles would have been nice. Perfect besides that.

The arm is not sturdy, so it will only support maybe 500g, so larger or older DSLR camera won't be supported well. Also, the mount sags, meaning a DSLR camera facing downwards to take photos from above will be at an angle, and there's no way to straighten it, other than buying a ball mount, which costs extra.
