Birthday gift for a boy turning 7. His favorite was the “wiggly worms”. It doesn’t look like the experiment is working, but let it sit for a few minutes and then reach in to pull them out - it really does work and it was gross enough to get a gag and a giggle from both of us. His other favorite was blowing into water to make it change color. All the tools are great quality, and it’s nice to have everything in a box and ready to go. The only thing I wish I’d known beforehand was that you do need to supply your own vinegar for some of the experiments. (Which is fine, we just had to wait until I went to the store.) My only other suggestion for improvement is the bags and bottles - they need to be easier to open. The foil seals on the liquid were tough to break even with a sharp knife. Would be nice to have a tab to peel the foil off. The bags of powder are also a bit messy because they aren’t designed with a sharp crease for pouring or a big enough opening to dip the scoop in. We had to pour it in bowls to use, then use a kitchen funnel to transfer back to bags. But this set is STILL well worth the money even with those minor flaws.
