Great multiplication chart that'll capture your kid's attention and make math fun

- Reviewed in Canada on July 26, 2025This is a great item that is interactive and fun. It can be an active form of learning (popping numbers along the top and side and following your finger to find where those lines intersect, and practicing the equation), but it can also be a passive form of learning and exploring numbers and their relationships with one another, without explicit instruction (exploring by making observations of what one sees and understands). I appreciate that it is made from simple silicone and can be washed when needed. The one detail I find odd, is having the marker holder on the pop-it chart itself. The marker holder is the exact size of the whiteboard marker and once this marker dries out and needs to be replaced, finding an exact match to fit the slot will likely be challenging. The wipeable sheet to practice writing equations on is also a good add-on and is double-sided. The marker worked well and erased easily from the sheet. This tool can also be useful for learning the inverse operation, division. To do this, a child would start with any number in the chart itself and follow their finger to the top and to the left to find the factors and write the equation that way as a division. In this regard, this tool would range a good number of years while children are being introduced to multiplication and later on when they are learning about and solidifying their understanding of division. A great find!

We have a young niece who will be learning multiplication in elementary school this fall. Math isn’t her favorite subject, but she loves playing with fidget toys, and bubble wrap. We got this popping multiplication table that is disguised as a fidget toy from Kingmall, to help make learning fun when she visits.
What’s interesting is that schools don’t teach the multiplication table anymore. My wife and I grew up reciting them by heart and still believe there is value in learning it through repetition. We had our daughter practice memorizing the tables before she learned multiplication in school. As a teenager now, she agrees memorizing the multiplication table helped her grasp math faster once it was formally introduced.
The multiplication popping chart feels well made, and measures about 8-3/4” wide x 8-1/4” high x 1/2” deep. The silicone has a good weight to it – much better than the fidget toys we’ve bought from the local dollar store. Although the colours are bright and vibrant, the white numbers printed on the bright yellow background (top row and left-side column) are very hard to read. A suggested improvement would be to print the numbers in black and make them bolder, especially for columns 3 and 9 (both yellow), and 11 (light blue), which lacks contrast. The side includes moulded storage space for a dry erase marker with eraser.
A thin dry erase board is included – one side with the multiplication table and other side for writing practice equations. A black fine-tip marker is included, can be used to illustrate examples or to write practice equations. we don’t see getting much use. When my niece saw the words “math practice” she screamed “Oh, no!” – then ran off happily ran off with the fidget toy. The upside - she happily played with it on her own – that’s a win in our books.
After about 10 minutes of playing, she asked “Why are there number across the top and down the side?” That gave us an opportunity to explain how multiplication works using the table. I asked her, ”If 5 friends gave you 4 toys each, how many toys would you have?” I instructed her use her right finger to follow the top row to 5 and pop it, then with her left finger, go down the side and to ‘4’ and pop that too. Where the two met – she got the answer: 20 toys. After a couple of more examples, she began creating her own questions. My sister-in-law is now looking at replacing her favourite fidget toy with this one.
SUMMARY/FINAL THOUGHTS:
The Kingmall multiplication popping chart is a math chart cleverly disguised as a fidget toy. It’s definitely worth considering as a learning aid to help make learning multiplication more engaging. At $19.99, it is more expensive than similar silicone math table popping chart toys, but it’s well made and comes a double-sided dry erase board and marker with integrated storage slot. The board can be used to illustrate examples or for writing practice equations. The bright and vibrant colours and popping numbers provide a sensory distraction, and a break from practicing with just a pencil and paper. My teenage daughter wishes she had one like this when she was younger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great multiplication chart that'll capture your kid's attention and make math fun
This is a nice multiplication chart pop it.
We've had printed charts, 3D printed charts and even more, but the kids have always been lukewarm about them. This chart though has the kid's full attention.
It comes with a dry erase pen and a chart but I don't see much value in that.
While this chart is the perfect size and seems pretty high quality, the one misgiving I have is two number rows in light yellow are hard to read due to the low contrast. I would have chosen a different yellow or had the numbers printed in black.

- Reviewed in Canada on July 26, 2025There is a lot of potential in this multiplication bubble board!
PROS:
- Colourful and playful, helps kids to be interested in learning
- A very simple but effective way for children to learn their multiplication tables
- Goes up to 12x tables, where many only go to 10
- Dry erase board is good for practicing and to give mini quizzes
- Pop fidget board is made of a flexible but strong silicone
CONS:
- It’s TOO colourful and playful! My little one got distracted almost immediately and just wanted to pop
- The board is not rigid so it’s impossible for my child to hold the board in one hand and count/pop with the other, which becomes frustrating
- The numbers on the top and sides (on the light yellow bubbles) are difficult to read
This board is a really good idea and I think it has the ability to be a great learning tool! I hope that once the novelty of it wears off my child will be able to concentrate on the math and successfully master his multiplication tables.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 28, 2025I love that there’s a marker and little white board practice sheet that comes with it! I wish I could order a whole class set, but we’ll start with this special one first.
My daughter hasn’t learned about multiplication yet, but was using it like a “search and find” with addition to make up her own game!
It seems well made, with the bright colours not bleeding into each other. Hopefully the printed numbers will last the test of time!
