(I’m not really sure what I was expecting as it’s made of plastic but it just feels cheap) That being said, it works very well. The lid having 2 ways to open is awesome. Wow...is it weird that I love this little compost bin? It's so functional. I love hanging it where I am food prepping with the lid slid down. Then it hangs away under the sink and out of sight. The adhesive hooks are very heavy duty and hold well to the cabinet. The only improvement I could suggest would be a handle for taking it out to the bin.

Exactly what I was looking for to replace a very discontinued ikea bin. I like the piece that hooks over cupboard door, allowing you lots of flexibility in kitchen and having bin close by for kitchen scraps. If I’m doing lots of food prep in kitchen I will use this piece and hang bin on outside of the door. You can line inside of bin with plastic bag by sandwiching bag between bin and lid.
My undermount sink is in the way of hanging it inside my door from the top, so it’s mounted lower down with the clear adhesive hooks provided. Really strong glue as I goofed up and had to reposition it TWICE, and it’s still a strong hold. Exactly what I was looking for to use as my green bin. Favourite part is the lid opens two ways, great for leaving open when needed.
Only wish would be to add a handle, it gets heavy and would be nice to carry out to trash bin to empty. The old old ikea bin had a wire handle.
A little bit on the pricey side for a plastic trash bin (with no handle), but there not many cheaper
options. I would buy again, but hopefully this lasts me a long time.

I have had this for about 5 months and can't think of a single complaint. Holds a lot, doesn't leak, keeps odours in, keeps bugs out, is easy to clean, and the lid slide is so convenient. It fits nicely over the kitchen cabinet door without interfering with the cabinet door opening and closing, which is difficult to find in things that hand over doors. Hanging by the kitchen countertop makes it super convenient for putting kitchen scraps while cooking while also saving counter space.
