Soft, succulent, subtle: this Turkish delight brings back memories of Istanbul. This woman-owned company does everything right to ensure repeat orders. The packaging--a metal box encased in a bubble-wrap envelope--enabled the confection to make the long journey unscathed. The visual pesentation--rows of alternating colours--was attractive to the eye. Unlike other brands, which drown their lokum in powdered sugar, Mughe dusts its candy finely. The flavours are subtle and inviting, the texture is smooth and soft, slightly chewy but not in the least rubbery. I was delighted and will order this brand again!
Many years ago I enjoyed Turkish Delights in Istanbul: firm but melting, tasty and sweet but not cloying, different and distinct flavours, a really unique treat. I didn't expect to replicate that experience. But I did hope for something special. Mughe Gourmet doesn't provide anything more than good jellies. They are worth eating but the various flavours aren't distinct and the pleasures of consuming the nondescript candies very limited. The real thing, the Turkish Delights from Istanbul, they were so fine it was hard to stop consuming. But the Mughe Gourmet product? No: just not enough indulgence here.
The first year I had these Turkish delight….they were sublime. Chewy but soft, natural distinct flavours with loads of powdered sugar as expected. The following year, they were still soft and chewy but the flavours were not so pronounced. This year? Such a disappointment. The candy was dense and overly chewy with artificial flavours. The icing sugar was almost nonexistent. I expect better quality at this price. I could have gone to the local store and got better than this.
These were absolutely delicious! I will be buying them again soon. However, they looked completely different from what is advertised, and definitely weren’t the flavours as described.
Don’t complain about the powdered sugar. It keeps them from sticking together. Dump your Delight’s Into a strainer with the powdered sugar. Shake till the powdered sugar falls through. Enjoy! I, love all 5 flavors. A small complaint is there is not even close to an equal amount of the 5 flavors in the tin. These delights are not overly sweet and have very few ingredients. Mmmmmm delicious! Just ordered more. Got the largest size this time. Thank you Mughe!

I bought this as a gift for my partner. He loved it very much. He didn't say a single bad thing about this food other than the fact he wouldn't have spent almost £20 on it... Then again, I wouldn't have either but this was the only big package of Turkish Delight I found on 鶹 that didn't look fancy and just resembled normal Turkish Delight.
I wouldn't buy this again due to how expensive it is. If it went down to maybe even £12-£15 I would consider it. But not £20!
