Craving a decadent treat that blends Middle Eastern flair with rich chocolate? Forget your standard Kunafah recipe! We're diving into the world of Dubai Chocolate, a luxurious confection that marries the crispy delight of Kadaifi with creamy pistachio and smooth, melted chocolate. This unique creation takes inspiration from traditional Middle Eastern flavors, but twists it into a modern, irresistible delight. Get ready to ditch the usual kunafah recipe and embark on a sweet adventure with our Dubai Chocolate Kataifi Bars.
- Blend 340g pistachios, 100g sugar, 120ml olive oil, 2tsp vanilla, 2tsp salt, 1tbsp tahini until creamy.
- Melt 57g butter in a pan. Add 200g Mughe Kataifi, cook until golden, cool.
- Mix cooled Kataifi with pistachio cream.
- Melt 570g chocolate (milk or semi-sweet). Temper by adding unmelted chocolate slowly.
- Line molds with melted chocolate, chill 30min.
- Fill molds with Kataifi-pistachio mix, chill 10min.
- Pour remaining chocolate over bars, smooth.
- Chill 30-45min. Unmold, enjoy!

Ingredients: 250g Mughe Kataifi ( kurutulmus kadayif - kadaifi ) , 1lb large shrimp, 1/2c melted butter, 1tbsp olive oil, 1tsp garlic powder, 1/2tsp paprika, salt, pepper. Aioli: 1/2c mayo, 2tbsp lemon juice, 1 clove garlic, 2tbsp parsley, 1tbsp dill, 1/4tsp salt, pepper.
Steps:
- Marinate shrimp in olive oil, spices.
- Melt butter, coat Mughe Kataifi strands.
- Wrap each shrimp snugly in Kataifi, tail exposed.
- Bake 375°F (190°C), 15-20min, till golden.
- Whisk aioli ingredients in a small bowl.
- Serve hot shrimp with lemon-herb aioli for dipping. A crispy, elegant treat!

Ingredients: 500g Kataifi, 250g butter, 500g cheese, Syrup: 2c sugar, 1c water, 1tbsp lemon, (rose/orange water).
- Syrup: boil sugar, water, lemon. Add floral water, cool, Oven: 350°F (175°C). Butter Kataifi. Half Kataifi in dish. Layer cheese. Top with Kataifi. Bake 30-40min, golden.
- Pour syrup, soak.
- Serve warm, pistachios.
