Another win from the ms. Rachel family of toys!!

Another win from the ms. Rachel family of toys!!
Our toddler who is working on letter sounds loves this! Between the animal pictures, the sounds and the easy to pickup wood pieces, it keeps them busy for a solid 15 minutes at a time. Note: make sure you have 2xAA batteries on hand and a small x head screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Pros: - Not too light sensitive! Other wooden sound puzzles need fairly bright lighting to operate, but this one didn’t seem to have that issue. - really solid build quality! All finished wood with no sharp corners or roughness. - the sound quality is probably the best I have seen in a sound puzzle! The sounds are super clear with no noticeable static. - our toddler loves ms. Rachel’s voice which is also a huge plus as it keeps them engaged. - it’s a Melissa and Doug product which is a very reputable company who definitely screen their products for safety. Cons: - the only con I can think of is it is pricier than other sound puzzles, but at the end of the day, for the number of sensors and pieces it makes sense it would be more. Very happy with our purchase! 10/10 would recommend!

Our son loves Ms. Rachel so this was a hit! The sound quality is good and it doesn't come thru fuzzy so it's easy to understand. Bright colours and smooth pieces that easily go in and out of their places. The only thing is we wish the pieces were a little magnetic so when our toddler flips the board over they didn't all fall out!

Pretty good puzzle overall. You have to be careful and use it in a bright setting on the sound won't get activated. I didn't realize the letters were flat and had no pegs/buttons to help toddlers lift them but my toddler has no problem with it. There is no volume control and I find sometimes it's a little quiet.

My almost 3 year old is autistic and hyperlexic and LOVES this puzzle!!! He loves all things alphabet and Ms Rachel. He’s learned all his letters and letter sounds just from using this and the alphabet fridge phonics.
I really like that it takes AAAs instead of button batteries. It works perfectly as long as there’s a light on or some sunlight. It’s pricey but absolutely worth it in my opinion. I have no complaints, it’s so adorable.

First day using it and there’s already a scratch on the X where the paint came off, and paint chipping ontop of the C. Really poor quality, especially considering the brand.

My toddlers love Ms Rachel, it’s just I get worried the pieces goes missing and it becomes obsolete..

If this toy actually does the other way around whereby when the letters go in and she says her thing would be perfect. At the moment, there’s a sensor that when it’s in contact with lights it will then talk. So imagine all the pieces on the board are in place, when they remove the piece then it’ll say something. But I feel it’s also nice for it to say something when the pieces goes inside too, but it doesn’t bc once the sensor is blocked off it will not say anything. Sometimes as we put the pieces back after all is removed, she will say random letters and incomplete sentences bc our hands caused a shadow on the sensor.. a little weird but still good..

Was excited for this for my grandson but doesn’t work properly at all…letters don’t match the sounding….HOWEVER it works perfectly I. The kitchen which has a lot more lighting than just a standard lamp…not ideal but if using the room needs to be extra BRIGHT

This Mrs. Rachel x Melissa & Doug alphabet puzzle is amazing! I love that it talks—hearing the letters spoken out loud is such a great way to reinforce learning. My son is so engaged with it and is already starting to recognize more letters thanks to this puzzle. It’s fun, interactive, and educational—all the things I look for in a toy. Such a great addition to our learning tools at home!

We really had high expectations for this board. It is well made, with bright colors, an on/off button, and nice colors. The board makes sounds when you remove the letters, which is based on the assumption that your little one will keep the letters in place and, one by one, remove them. Not the case for us. If the board is without letters, just passing your hand over the board will activate it, so overall, it can be confusing and difficult to use. Maybe it's intended for older kids. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked very well for us.
NOTE: Beware that if you forget to turn it off and leave it around without letters, you might wake up early in the morning with spooky Ms. Rachel talking about letters.
