I love all of Matthew Reillys books and this one was no exception. Fast paced and well written with great characters, it hooked me in right from the start and kept me reading. Very much enjoyed the story and main character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating, fast-paced, nail-biting
Verified PurchaseSuperb! I couldn’t keep away from this captivating tale, read it over two days and was sad when it ended. A customarily fast-paced Reilly thriller largely set against the backdrop of World War Two, with both fictional protagonists and real-life characters and events from twenties gangster America to forties Nazi Germany: a highly visual, history-based novel with the hustle of a Jackie Chan movie. All the characters were so clearly sketched and the drama nail-biting. On the strength of this very special story (and the Jack West saga and much-read Great Zoo of China) I ordered the two Matthew Reilly books missing from my collection. More, please!

5.0 out of 5 stars Untypical but best
Verified PurchaseI have read all the Reilly books. Multiple times. Some are great some not so great. But typically they are all fun to read. Mr. Einstein's Secretary is a little untypical. But for me, together with the Secret Runners of New York, the Secretary is his best book so far. Where the others are more like a movie, this one is more like a novel. I was sad, when I finished the book. Would have loved to read on.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good rollinking story
Verified PurchaseI liked the author's attempt to connect all the historic names and events and put them together in a single book. Of course, although well written, some of it becomes a bit unbelievable. Also, some historic mistakes were made, for instance showing the map of Germany, claiming it is the map of Germany during the Third Reich, when in fact the map shows the borders of Germany AFTER the Second World War.
