Received in a plain, carefully shrink-wrapped cardboard box with a clear "REFURBISHED" label on the outside and bubble wrap inside. Cosmetically, the modem looks to be in like new condition, with protective film over indicator lights still intact. Looks like a generic power adapter provided, but perfectly fine and functional. A yellow Cat 5e ethernet cable was included along with an original OEM Quick Start guide. The only thing missing was the little "coax connection" wrench - which obviously is No Big Deal. I left it plugged in overnight to make sure it was electrically "burned in", then installed it today on our existing Xfinity service using the Xfinity app on my phone. Painless, easy and only took maybe 10 minutes. Modem seems to be running fine, have not checked wired "max" connection bandwidth yet but I will maybe tomorrow. This replaced a much lower-spec Linksys modem that served us very well for nearly 10 years -- still running but functionally obsolete.
Update -- getting download speeds easily in excess of 500mbps as measured while operating wirelessly on various devices with our also-new TP Link BE230 router -- well in line with expectations for my Xfinity subscription. This modem was a great upgrade investment for us and we are very pleased.
