- Reviewed in Canada on February 19, 2025Verified PurchaseI was creating a decoupaged fish and this worked great. Not sure if buying this or a bigger size would keep for a long time sealed up but I will find out (in time!)
- Reviewed in Canada on October 2, 2018Verified PurchaseLoved using this for my 3000 pc. puzzle. Took about half the bottle for 3 layers (2 on top, 1 under). This is way cheaper and probably better than 'official' puzzle glue such as the Ravensburger one. It dries perfectly clear. Just be aware that it does dry fast, and it's not impossible that there will be brush marks in the end. For this purpose I suggest little foam brushes. They're super cheap, dollar store available. You'll probably want a few of them, and they usually come in packs anyway. Make sure that you put enough Mod Podge down on the puzzle so that the seams all fill up (very easy to tell since the glue is all white at first). I was too conservative in my first run. The end result is quite amazing, totally clear and the puzzle is solidly stuck together. I'd also recommend the matte version for puzzles, honestly.
Have fun!

- Reviewed in Canada on May 25, 2022Verified PurchaseI found the product to be quite nice for sealing my coloured pencil and water-based marker artwork. They have been stored away for a couple weeks now and have had no tackiness to them since day one. So I should not need to apply anything else when it has fully cured in it's 4 week cycle. Overall I found it quite easy to use, I just needed to do some proper research online on how to properly apply this to my pages. I tested the product on Styrofoam thinking I could recycle some material, regular cardboard from a box and some hard piece of wooden material I found around the house.
My best result was actually my first one with the dragons and also the result of an accident when applying the Matte Mod Podge to my page. When I applied this to the backboard I was gluing to, I accidentally set my brush in a jar of water before I was finished with it. I intended on applying another layer on the front after laying the page down first, but instead had to wait for the brush and original applications on the back to dry. It never came out with any bumps or wrinkles like my other test results came out with. However I did begin to smudge some colour in areas when I ran a protractor across the page, like a rookie with no proper equipment.
I would definitely recommend letting the backside dry while your page lay on the backboard of whatever you are gluing to first, then apply the front layer and allow for it to dry. That is at least how I found it to work best in my five tests so far and found others suggesting you do in my online research as well. Now I have four large posters to do this with so I have gone and ordered a 1 Gallon jug because I just LOVE this stuff. Looking forward to sealing my bigger artwork up then get frames built for them. I colour pages from books and draw my own original art to sell and colour myself as well, so Matte Mod Podge and me are going to become good friends I believe.
Oh as a final thought, I chose to reveal the brush I used when applying this stuff as well. I have now picked up some foam brushes and other tools that I hope to do a better job with, but I still loved how these came out, minus the wrinkles from not using enough Mod Podge and applying it wrong. The amount that is left in the one bottle shown is also after applying to these five colouring pages. I used four coats after the glue phase to seal each page.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 27, 2024Verified PurchaseAs the owner of Devil n Dove, I am extremely pleased with the Mod Podge Waterbase Sealer, Glue, and Finish in the 16-ounce matte finish. This product is incredibly versatile and has become a staple in our workshop. We use it for a variety of projects, from sealing and protecting our artwork to gluing and finishing our jewelry and craft pieces. The matte finish gives a professional look without any shine, which is perfect for our needs. It's easy to apply and dries quickly, making our workflow efficient. Highly recommend for any craftsman or artist looking for a reliable all-in-one solution!
- Reviewed in Canada on December 2, 2020Verified PurchaseThis is really good stuff. I've been watching a pressed flower artist on Youtube (Em) who does really extensive product reviews, and she recommended this product. I didn't want to have to buy a whole lot of different crafting adhesives to find the one that would do what I wanted, so I'm really pleased that this one has been great. I think it's intended for decoupage, so it works well in sticking paper to paper and also works well to adhere pressed flowers to paper. I would just note that if the flower is very tissue-like, it will alter the appearance of the petals giving them a bit more translucency (so anything behind it will show through). If using as a sealant, you'll need to be vigilant to keep the surface free from dust, etc, because everything will stick!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mod Podge is the classic craft sealant for a reason, never disappoints.
Verified PurchaseAhh, the smell of Mod Podge while crafting... this stuff is the best sealing coat for painted and papered surfaces. Classic for a reason. Works exactly the way it was supposed to. This finish is matte and worked well on tempera paints and for prepping some stencils to prevent paint bleed underneath. Now go find something to create, then seal with this and step back in time to the 70s with one deep sniff.
