We Propose New Values Beyond "Measurement"
Our greatest mission is to contribute to the development of our customers' businesses and the development of industry and technology across the world by resolving the issues associated with precision measurement and continuing to refine and innovate our precision measurement technology.
Digimatic Caliper
Mitutoyo's analog vernier calipers are known for their durability, precision, and longevity. With high readability, and solid mechanics it is one of the most reliable tools to get the job done right every time.
Dogmatic Caliper provides readings in both millimeters and inches while coming in a wide range of sizes. Made of stainless steel for long term use, and to actively resist corrosion.
Digimatic Micrometer
Unmatched precision with consistent measuring force. Equipped with ratchet or friction thimble, ensuring the right pressure and repeatable results. Built for harsh environments, with a reliable long-term battery life.
Mitutoyo offers a diverse lineup of digimatic micrometers tailored to agricultural, industrial, aerospace, and precision-lab settings.
Digimatic Indicator
Precision measuring tool that provides a digital readout for linear displacement. Widely used in engineering, and quality control for tasks that require accuracy Indicators with absolute linear encoders retain their orgin setting even after power-off, eliminating the need for re-zeroing each time.
The Digimatic Indicator has a number of practical benefits including consistent quality control, prevention of data loss, and no calibration drift ensuring a fast reliable startup.
Dial Caliper
With its easy-to-read dial display and smooth, reliable movement, it provides accurate measurements of inside, outside, depth, and step dimensions. Built with high-quality materials and engineered for long-term use, the caliper ensures consistent performance even in demanding environments.
Portable Surface Roughness
The Mitutoyo Portable Surface Roughness Tester is a highly reliable and precise tool ideal for on-site surface finish measurements. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to carry and operate in various industrial environments.
Data Management Products
Mitutoyo Data Management Products offer efficient and streamlined solutions for capturing, storing, and analyzing measurement data across various devices and systems.
Gage Blocks
Mitutoyo offers a complete selection of gage blocks available in rectangular or square, metric or inch and steel or CERA (ceramic) types.
Reference Gages
Mitutoyo offers reference gages which provide reliable, fully traceable accuracy checking and calibration across a number of requirements: length, height, straightness, thickness and many more.
As the leading metrology company in the world
Mitutoyo is committed to future product development that applies breakthrough technologies to our full range of dimensional measurement tools, instruments, and systems. Mitutoyo continues to develop the most accurate and advanced metrology equipment available, all of which are made in our own manufacturing facilities. “Precision is our profession” is not just the company motto, but also the principle by which every Mitutoyo employee stands by when serving our customers.
Product description
The Mitutoyo 530 series vernier caliper has two sets of jaws for measurement in metric units of outside dimension (OD), inside dimension (ID), step, and depth (when depth bar is included), for applications where the highest accuracy is required, especially in scientific research and in industries where parts must fit exactly.
The caliper has a dual vernier scale, with both the upper and lower scales measuring in metric units. A 14-degree vernier face angle improves visibility and helps prevent parallax error in measurement reading. The caliper’s two sets of jaws provide the capability to make OD and ID measurements, as well as step measurements, where the butt end of the fixed jaw measures one end of a work piece before its upper/lower or inner/outer steps are measured. When included, a depth measuring blade with rounded edges provides the ability to make depth measurements. The scales are raised to slide easily and protect the graduation markings. A thumbwheel permits fast and easy measuring. A clamping screw on the upper scale rotates to control scale movement and locks to hold the sliding jaw’s position. The caliper is made of hardened, corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a satin chrome finish that helps reduce glare. The caliper meets Federal Accuracy Specifications GGG-C-111B.
Calipers measure the distance between two opposing sides of an object. They make inside, outside, depth, or step measurements, according to their type. Calipers are commonly used in architecture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, and machining. The simplest calipers have two legs to mark the two points and require a ruler to take the measurement. More complex calipers use two sets of jaws instead of legs and have up to two graduated scales. Vernier, dial, and digital calipers give direct and accurate readings and are functionally identical, having a calibrated scale with a fixed jaw, and another jaw with a movable pointer that slides along the scale. The vernier caliper has a scale sliding parallel to the main scale for an additional, fractional reading to improve measurement precision. The dial caliper has a circular dial with a pointer on a toothed gear rack replacing the second vernier scale. As with the vernier, this second measurement is added to the reading from the main scale to obtain the result. The digital caliper takes a differential by zeroing the display at any point along the slide, with an LCD that displays a single value in English and/or metric units.
Mitutoyo manufactures precision measuring tools, metrology equipment, and systems. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1934 and formed Mitutoyo America Corporation in 1963, which is headquartered in Aurora, IL.
