Nice burst of colour, re-wets perfectly
Nice selection of colours. Vibrancy is great. 15 ml tubes. I can’t see I would use the white or the black but I feel they are equivalent to the other professional brands I have in my paint kit - update: I am completely sold on these a year later and will purchase specialty colours from DS as needed but this is my go to set. You get a lot of paint for the price. Highly recommended.

    The 24 pure pigment set consists of 24 lovely and concentrated pure-pigment paints which allow you to mix whatever colour you desire. Besides the 24 hues (15mL each), a small tube of white and black are provided. I love the cobalt teal, both by itself and mixed into greens. It's unfortunate that the manufacturer mis-named PB15:3 (commonly known as phthalo blue green shade) as Cerulean blue but my solution is to relabel the tubes with a sticker to avoid accidentally selecting the wrong tube! When the paints are mixed wet-into-wet, they disperse very slowly. This may be annoying to some users why like to drop colors onto a damp sheet to mix. However, it may be helpful in botanical painting, allowing more time to "mop away" color to retain highlights.

    Very pigmented, good texture, very nice choice of colors and I am very happy to find the Cobalt Deep Green, the Cobalt Turquoise and the Quinacridone Violet. However, 541 Cerulean Blue (PB15:3) too close to Phthalocyanine Blue (PB15:6) should be replaced by the true Cerulean Blue (PB35) that Mission Gold calls Cobalt Cerulean Blue. And in watercolor, white is never used, except for a few gouache accents. For that, I would remove half a star.
