Just the thing I was looking for. Mainly as a convenient mobile phone pedestal for long haul family adventures and the less desirable work commutes. Our Toyota Venza is the only vehicle which has a mobile phone perch, however, it will not permit charging whilst poised in the perch as the phone rests on the charging port. And expectedly, the Venza does not facilitate wireless charging.

I requested this Miracase mobile phone mount which through advertised pictorials and brief summary of certain capabilities seemed to provide a well rounded, solid build. This is an afterthought item to complement my wireless charger mobile phone mount for front seat passenger use. The item arrived in a standard cardboard box depicting the contents on its wall. Once removed from the protective cradle my sentiment of the device was affirmed. In my grip it felt sturdy, like a miniature main battle tank constructed to withstand severe onslaughts. But in all honesty, I wouldn't throw armour piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot rounds directly at it. Just a feeling it may not survive.

The mount consists of the phone cradle itself which a manually operated clamp activated by forcing them together with your hands snuggles a mobile phone, with the quick release mechanism located just beneath the grips. The device is a suction cup mounting mechanism which can adhere onto a vehicles flat surfaces using physics. The components are easily assembled by adjusting tightness with a plastic nut. Unscrew the nut, slide the holder into the arm, then screw the nut to tighten and secure each component. Then mount the device using the suction cup. Once this step is completed within a time frame measured in...seconds, insert a mobile phone between the silicone padded clamps, resting on atop the adjustable arm, force them to hug your mobile, never to let go. Connect a charging cable to the phone between the spaced pedestal and power is provided. The back is also rubber, ensuring the nestled device does not abrase.

The test... Testing multiple phones ,the ensemble worked as expected each time. For the duration of our outings the incorporated mount supported any mobile it was tasked with gripping. To release your phone from the powerful, yet kind and protective jaw, compress the levers below the clamps and they retract, providing ample space to replace with a subsequent device.

There are few negative sentiments about the holder and its performance. Yet...it is not perfect. First, suction cup is still being put through trials and varying temperatures will identify its resolve, however an unsanctioned dismount will be no more than an inconvenience...I hope. It also seems quite intrusive given the size with phone when mounted on top of the dash or on the windscreen. A minor but ever present distraction. That's all, I suppose.

.........No, wait. The price. I find it to be competitive but little inflated for such a plastic, one hit wonder which. For $26 CAD it is outmatched by competing products. Or you can purchase a wireless mouse which has considerable functionality. Get the picture?

Despite the above noted concerns for which I deducted a solitary star, I do actually recommend this unit. It is well enough constructed out of quality materials and should last a long time provided care is exercised. If you need a loving parental figure snuggling you mobile device for extended periods, Miracase has you covered...or cradled, rather. Better value options are available, however they may NOT be as good. Perhaps this model has greater reach or the suction cup outperforms competing holders, so...I suggest you read the options list when comparing.

The weight of your phone will pull this off your dash if your dash is not completely flat. Most dashes are not completely flat. Absolutely skip this one. This company makes one that does make one that you could use with both the dash and the vent. That would work with the vent. But I had to use tape to keep this connected to my dash.

Then I bought the vent unit with the hook which costs a fraction of what this cost and that vent unit with the hook works great! Do not recommend this so-called phone holder whatsoever. Maybe some people have flat dashes but I bet most of us don't. Suction basically zero. Even after rubbing alcohol was used on the dash. Garbage. Sadly because it was kind of expensive. Very much regret this purchase.
