    These Micasa dishes are my all-time favorite. I bought them to use daily as we live near the beach and they are just perfect. So lightweight yet very sturdy for daily use. I throw them in the dishwasher and they come out perfectly, no scratches or dulling. I put them in the microwave and can take them out without using a potholder (unlike my old stone wear set). I get so many compliments on then when friends come over. Glad I purchased these.

    The pattern is amazing. For being machine produced, I have had a hard time finding 8 acceptable plates. There were tiny particles that got under the glaze or scratches in the finish or small chips on the edge or bottom. Finally picked 4 with the least problems to keep. Ugh.
    First 8 I ordered for my son had only one issue with the bottom of a bowl.
    I loved them so much, I ordered some for myself. It has taken sets to try to get 8 decent plates and 3 of the 8 are definite compromise.
    I would try again but it's pretty painful and my spouse doesn't want to try again.
    Do better Mikasa.
