This notebook uses original writing paper that does not bleed or bleed through even when writing with a fountain pen.
Paper, Binding, Design Made with attention to detail for writing comfort.

The rules are thick in the center for separating the top and bottom lines.
You can use it as a schedule by making it 2 or 4 partitions in the viewer to add notes, diaries, dates, etc.

We use original writing paper that has been developing in-house since the 1960s.
The warm cream paper color is gentle on the eyes, and is perfect for fountain pens.

The Binding:
The notebook opens completely 185 degrees for stress-free writing.
It uses a "thread cobbling" that is easy to open and has a durable finish.

The focus of "design"
MD notebooks do not have a cover because you want the comfort of writing and the innocent charm of the material.
It has an excellent opening without the bad opening or rattling of a notebook.

Includes index stickers.
It comes with an indexing seal that matches the look of a solid cover only with a cheesecloth tip.
Printed with frequently used IDEA and DIARY The rest is blank stickers that you can fill in and use.
It also serves as a great way to secure the spin.

This is my first premium paper notebook. I love it. I have tried a few cheaper fountain pen friendly papers before but this is far better. So, so smooth. No bleed through. I have a gel pen that has bled through every other fountain pen paper I have tried and it does not bleed through this. Holds the ink nice and tight. Its a pleasure to write with. Tried 13 different pen and ink combos. The show through is higher than other notebooks I have, but i don't mind writing on the other side.

It came slightly crushed in the corner, but that's because �鶹�� shipped it in a thin plastic bag with no padding. I've used several fountain pens on this and several inks. I tried the new Sailor Yurameki in Seki with a dip pen and made some pretty decent blobs that took a while to dry, but the paper hasn't warped at all, it feels just like it did before I wrote on it. You can see it through the other side, but there is no textural difference and it's not bleed-through, it's just dark on the other side so you can see it. It's so smooth to write on. It's really nice. I find myself itching to use it just because it's so satisfying to write on.

Got it for journaling, and half-way though it.
Its a minimalist notebook, so make sure you are ok with that.
The paper quality is great, and the lines are very nice.

My only problem is the spine. There is a very thin layer of glue and fabric holding the spine together. It seems sturdy enough where the signatures won't fall off, but I notice the spine permanently curving into an arch. This is from opening the book completely 180 degrees and writing on it. It stretches the spine out.

What happens is that the book becomes no longer able to sit flat and flush on a table. It becomes a little "conch-like", especially if you store it upright without applying much pressure to compress the covers together to make it flat.

But all in all, its a cute book, but the lack of reinforcement in the covers gives me a few doubts as to if it will last for many years

I really like this notebook, it has thick pages and holds up to most pens I have. I like that it's not overly thick, and it comes with a bookmark so I can keep track of the page I'm writing on, It does have a line going through the middle of the page but I plan to use the whole page for one thing. I'm sure if you wanted to split the page in half it would be useful but I'm doing that, I'm using mine as a reading journal. Overall very happy and will be buying this again!

I'm on my second Midori MD Notebook (lined) and it's likely not going to be my last.
I've gotten heavily into daily journaling, fountain pens and dip pens this year, and I've learned the hard way that not all papers are suitable for fountain pen inks.
Midori's paper handles wet ink like a champ, with no feathering or bleed through. Some ghosting, but that's going to happen with darker inks, and I'll gladly accept that anomaly over ink bleeding through.
After completing my previous MD Notebook, I became quite fond of the subtle gray line that divides each page. I use it frequently as a guide to more effectively lay out my thoughts on each page.
The cream color is easy on the eyes, and doesn't alter the ink colors drastically. I often use a Rhodia dot grid pad for practice and nonsense writing, there isn't much difference in ink color between the bright white Rhodia paper and the Midori cream colored paper.
One thing to note, is whatever coating Midori uses in their paper, while great at stopping bleed through, may make certain pen nibs and inks write and lay differently on the paper, for example, both inks I have from Pelikan seem far more light on this paper than my Rhodia. My deduction is that the coating resists the formula Pelikan uses more than other papers.
Diamine inks perform beautifully on this paper, as such, I've been purchasing most of my ink choices from the Diamine brand.
Hongdian brand ink also performs beautifully on this paper, nice and vibrant with no writing issues.
For the price, which is generously low, you're getting a fine notebook for the serious writer.
