About the author

I own and operate Frontline Analytics, a data and analytics consulting firm focused on Microsoft business intelligence solution design and development. In 2017 I wrote the Microsoft Power BI Cookbook and in early 2018 I completed my second book, Mastering Microsoft Power BI.
The Power BI Cookbook is a large collection of design and development techniques to derive greater value from Power BI and its related technologies including the DAX and M programming languages. Mastering Microsoft Power BI provides an end-to-end overview of Power BI including project planning, content development, distribution, and administration. Additionally, I'm the co-organizer of the Boston Business Intelligence User Group and I regularly post technical articles on my blog, Insight Quest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ottimo testo
consigliato.

3.0 out of 5 stars I'm a little disappointed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that as I ...
Verified PurchaseI was looking forward to receiving this book. It looked as though it would provide quite an indepth look into Power BI, and offer solutions to a wide range of scenarios. I've only had it for a couple of days, but of the sections I've read so far, I'm a little disappointed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that as I delve further into it, my opinion may change. I was hoping for a book similar to the excellent PowerPivot & Power BI book by Rob Collie and Avi Singh, but with more emphasis on Power BI. I would suggest that prospective buyers of the book try and get a good look at the content before purchasing, so you can make an objective decision as to whether this (rather expensive) book is worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book!
Verified PurchaseSimply put, this is a wonderful book. I am an intermediate Power BI user, and I am basically reading it cover to cover because I don't want to miss a detail. I have found so many delightful gems within the pages. The author not only presents tactics for utilizing Power BI, but also strategy for overall product usage that will benefit my clients tremendously in the simplicity, efficiency, elegance, and relevancy of the reports and solutions that I am enabled to create. A huge thank you to the author for this great resource!
