    My son bought (with some assistance from mom and dad) a new laptop for himself primarily for gaming. But come September when he starts middle school, we’d like him also to use it for his homework and school projects. Our household has used MS Office for years so it was our go to software. Purchased primarily for Word, Excel and PowerPoint should also see some use as well. It was easy to install, acquired by download from Microsoft after inputting the key code included in the box on their website. It was also decent value ($139.95 at time of purchase), costing 20 bucks less than buying direct from Microsoft (go figure).

    Quick and easy install and a highly useful suite of office software for a decent price. Hard to go wrong. Recommend.

    As I was installing this software a pop-up indicated a tech would contact me to help with a now stalled installation. Sure enough my cell phone rings and I’m speaking with with a heavily accented rep( my first clue) who directs me to a site called “AweSun” which appears to be some kind of Anti-Virus service. Still thinking this is legit he informs me that somehow through this install that my brand new laptop has become infected with multiple viruses and I begin to smell a rat. It is of course a rouse to get you to buy a (fake?) anti-virus solution. I hung up and hope no damage had been done to my new Dell laptop. I discovered “Office Home & Student” had been properly installed and I did my own McCafee scan which showed no issues. What’s alarming is that this hack triggers during an install of a licensed product by a well known company. I’d report it to Microsoft if I could wade through the many layers of online layers!

Have no use for MS as IMHO they are a bunch of rip off artists. Yes this has happened with other support software which is why I turned to their competitors for my computing solutions

Not used to seeing spinning beachball with Office. Bottom line is I do need Office's word processing function, and this one does the job.

    I got the key for Office 2019 from 鶹. I did what it said to do. It not work the first time so I tried again. Then I got the page where you enter the key. OK fine. I entered the key. There was no place to say download 2019. Microsoft is just pushing 365. I tried again. It said the key had already been used. I looked in my Microsoft account. There is no record of it. I got Microsoft support. They were no help. Their solution was to get another key. It continues.
    Update: 鶹 support was great. Replacement item is on its way to me.
    Update 2: I got the new key and tried again. Microsoft confirmed the key. "Next" threw me into a page for 365 again and I could not install or activate the 2019 product. I got Microsoft support on the phone and they took over my computer to get the product installed and activated. The process took an hour. Microsoft has an issue with subscription activations and they hope to get it resolved. Wait for it.

    I read that many had installation issues, but thought that it be OK for me, No way! It took me more than two hours on the chat and phone with Microsoft to download and install this software. At one point Microsoft advised me to return this to 鶹 or ask for the new product key because they though that the key was wrong. This was an absolutely ridiculous experience as the purchased software should come with the correct key with the clear instruction. I do not know whose shortcoming it is, Microsoft or 鶹, but for consumer it should not matter. Giving a one start for the absence of clear instruction, issues with the product key and bad Microsoft support. The first person I connected with was absolutely clueless and wasted my time. Only when I asked for the supervisor, I got some help. They connected to my computer and downloaded this software. I miss real disks that you can load into computer, but not that anyone would care to go back and do what is more continent for the consumer.
