I have now connected it to my PC, where I intend to use it for meetings, and I can see a significant gain over the webcam microphone, as you can see in the picture. It's not a carefully designed or controlled experiment, but I whispered numbers 1 to 10 at night, first recorded with my webcam microphone and then with this microphone, and you can see the difference in audio recording amplitude. The noise is also lower with this microphone. I did not lean forward, and was sitting straight for both recordings. Recording volume was at 100% in both cases.
I look forward to using this for meetings and even some vocal recordings.

I bought this on a whim just for talking on my work pc. It does just that. It's basically plug and play. I only had to adjust the volume for my mic for sensitivity for my voice and background noise. So far so good. I unplugged it and put it back in and it connects automatically. Recommend if people want a plug and play mic for their pc. My voice comes in 4/5. haven't had much testing for it and no-one has mentioned to me to repeat myself or couldn't understand me.

Windows frequently reports there is no mic installed, but simply disconnecting and plugging in again sometimes fixes the issue, or sometimes not. It doesn't matter which USB port I select, the problem follows it. All Windows 11 software and drivers are up-to-date, and this is the only USB device having connection trouble, so I suspect the problem is with the mic and that's why it got a single star. Maybe this is a defective unit, but it's too late to return it and try a different brand.

UPDATE: Now I frequently get a message saying Windows does not recognise this USB device.
