Missing parts
Received the refurbished Quest 3 and both battery covers were missing from the two controllers. I contacted Meta and they wanted me to ship both controllers to them for cover replacements. Also contacted 鶹 and they originally wanted my to return the entire product (with Canada post as the only option even during their strike). I suggested a partial refund to cover the cost of replacing with aftermarket covers, which they finally agreed to. Not an experience I’d expect from a so called “premium renewed” product.

    Please dont buy they are purposely sending out returned products.
    I did my research i actually ordered the arkham set new one then today i received my package and it was refurbished and doesn't connect to wifi or pair !
    Please heed my warning and the others warnings they rushed out system knowing it has these faults.
    I was online for over 6 hours today trouble shooting tried everything!
    Spoke to three customers service agents and were absolutely no help and basically are making excuses for there knowingly sending people faulty used and broken systems.
    I would never have paid 700.00 for a refurbished system ever!
    Plus when i tried to look for original order information wala it vanished and could not be retrieved then all of a sudden i am sent a faulty system and after delivery i am all of a sudden able to retrieve my original order and it wasnt the sqme as what i originally ordered!
    Please dont buy any refurbished please i dont want to see anymore people waste there valuable time and energy and get all excited like i did only to be disappointed just like when i bought my wife the 600.00 raybans with meta software its funny they did exactly the same thing wouldn't pair and could never connect the glasses to the app either so it seems things have not changed at all.
    My name is chris cordner and i am another verified purchaser who is completely unsatisfied and extremely disappointed by meta 3 and all there promises were a lie!
    If you dont belive me look up reddit and quora and how many others are having same problem all over the world as well.

    As someone with arthritis in my hands, I was excited to try the Meta Quest 3, but it fell short in a few critical areas for my use case.

    First, the controllers are far too small for me to hold comfortably over an extended period, which made interacting with the system frustrating. I had hoped that the visual hand-tracking feature would make up for this, but unfortunately, it isn’t polished enough yet. It frequently misinterprets gestures, making navigation cumbersome rather than intuitive.

    I primarily bought the device to use as a workstation—editing photos and videos—but this proved to be much more difficult than I anticipated. The workflow felt clunky, and while VR is fascinating for many applications, it doesn’t feel optimized for professional creative tasks.

    If you’re into VR gaming, this might work for you, but if you’re considering the Meta Quest 3 for productivity or non-gaming uses, there are better options out there. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a good fit for me.

    This is hands down the best bang for the buck VR set people can buy, it has nearly VisionPro image quality without all the apple gimmicks, if you avoid 3S (used cheaper lenses). It gives you unique LARGE size theater experience (similar like IMAX) if you watching lots videos/movies, or surfing Youtube on the 4K above or VR contents. Play game is a more dynamic experience, even better if you get the attachments for the controllers for the games you like. I wish the face mask and head bends* are better cushioned - but you can buy the accessories online like here at 鶹 for improvements. If you wear glasses, get the lenses to snap on will make you "see" better without risks of scratching the glasses left/right. Also, I got the Anker SoundCore VR P10 for real time low latency earbuds, it has decent sound quality and the sound field is better if you do not like listen to the built-in speakers (actually speakers are pretty good), or you want privacy.
    *If you can live with original cloth head bends ... the whole set may fit into a *soft* bag 18x18x5 cm^3, I carried it when I travel/fly to keep it compact.

    It has ALOT of capabilities, which are fairly insuitive and sensible to use. This device is more or less based on a Smartphone and has similar features.

    Wifi, Bluetooth, casting and streaming, a VERY cool VR browser running Chromium (but fairly stripped down of options... which makes sense; its running android and therefor linux.

    The BASE headstrap is reasonably comfortable BUT over time, say plus an hour, will pester your brow and cheeks. Sack up a BoboVr, KiwDesign, or other well rated battery strap if you feel up for long sessions. The weight is a bit frontwise of the face and said straps will balance much better on the head.

    VRChat is a wonderful app, but may consider PCVR soon as not all options available. Regardless its the perfect *icebreaker for my socisl anxiety and has helped me climb past some barriers ive been having socializing.

    CAUTION TO NEGLECTFUL PARENTS:

    Be aware this is NOT another upgrade tool for absentee parenting. It WILL worsen screen addiction and make your kid pick up bad habits as with any other social media if you dont teach your kids better to begin with... ask me how i know. VRchat for my example has some rooms flooded with trashy mouthed little kids and teens and would-be-thug'lets in diapers whos parents need the spankings. Adults have common sense most times developed, but without arming your children with good etequette and sense, a brattier little gremlin can come out of your headset. As Denzel Washington said in graduation speeches, If a kid doesnt find their parent in the home they will find them in the street.
