Product description

This Borax flux keeps metal clean during melting (Gold, silver, etc.)

and pouring.

When used in melting of Gold and Silver, Borax helps to dissolve

Oxides and other impurities, and produce a fluid borate slag that

collects on the surface of the molten metal.

Can also be used for preparing melts for assaying.

Specially prepared for making flux for jewelry soldering. Dissolves

easily to make a paste. Inhibits the formation of oxides on metal

surfaces and allows solder to flow more easily.

A

lso used to glaze crucibles and casting process. You will need to

glaze your crucible with borax before you melt any metal in it. This

ensures that your metal doesn't stick to the ceramic crucible.
