Restore headlights with Meguiar’s two step headlight kit

If you have clear plastic headlights that aren’t looking as clear as they should, what do you do? Replacing the headlights can be expensive, and depending on the car they may be hard to find. Meguiar’s has a solution with the Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit. This inclusive headlight kit makes restoring headlight clarity an easy process, and there are no drills or tools required to obtain amazing results either. First, clean the surface evenly with one of the included abrasive Cleaning Pads and the Cleaning Compound. Then, thoroughly coat with the Headlight Coating to fully restore headlights to a crystal clear finish that protects from re-oxidation for up to a year. This two step headlight kit makes removing oxidation, cloudiness, and yellowing quick and easy while providing brilliant clarity that lasts.

What’s included in the Two Step Headlight Restoration Kit

• 4-ounce bottle of Cleaning Solution – This clear plastic cleaner, when used with one of the Cleaning Pads, delivers the strength to remove yellowing, clouding and oxidation by hand.
• 4-ounce canister of Headlight Coating – This proprietary aerosol spray coating lays down on the clear plastic after using the Cleaning Solution to improve optical clarity and provide a durable protection against UV and the elements.
• 2 Cleaning Pads – Two circular cleaning pads (one for each headlight) to cut through yellowing, clouding and oxidation while preparing the surface for the protective Headlight Coating.

Tips for using the kit

• For the best results, apply to a clean, cool and dry headlight in the shade.
• Mask around the headlight before use to prevent overspray from surrounding areas.
• If overspray occurs, remove with rubbing alcohol.

Using the Cleaning Solution

• Shake product well and squeeze a quarter-sized amount of solution on one of the Cleaning Pads provided.
• Using a back & forth motion, thoroughly clean the entire headlight. Reapply as needed. Wipe with a clean towel to check progress.
• The headlight is properly cleaned when it has a uniform frosted appearance over the entire headlight. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry completely.

Using the Headlight Coating

• Shake product well. Headlight must be 100% clean and dry before the coating is applied.
• Apply one medium wet coat of the coating to the entire headlight, overlapping the previous pass by 50%.
• Let the first coat dry 3-5 minutes.
• Follow with a second coat to completely seal the headlight lens. The coating will be dry to the touch in 3-5 minutes, and fully cured within 24 hours.
• Do not expose the coating to water or moisture until fully cured.
