Same as the $20 saws. Radiance branded. I wanted a saw with the blade tension thumbscrew as shown in the picture. This was sent instead. Not worth paying extra. Will return.

    They must have changed manufacturer or something because the saw I received differs from this product pictures in many ways. It is much cheaper than it looks. The two parts holding the blade can barely stay in place when tightening them since the fit is so bad + the threads in them is very soft and broke after 2 or 3 times changing blade. These pieces were so badly produced that I had to file the burr around the hole of the screws because it was creating a gap and the blade wouldn't hold. Similar problem with the part used to adjust the length, had to screw it so tight for it to hold any tension that it damaged the threads.

    I originally purchased this a few moths ago to cut some rounded shapes out of 3/4" white pine and it worked great. Recently I needed to cut a circle out of a steel electrical box cover, so I came to 鶹 to look for metal cutting rod-like blades I thought I'd seen before. I couldn't find any, but one of the search results that came up was this saw. I read the description again and saw that the blades could be used on wood. plastic and metal. I was EXTREMELY skeptical, but figured I didn't have anything to lose by trying. I started with the same blade I'd used for my wood project (#2) and made no progress before the blade snapped. I then decided to try a finer toothed blade (#30) and was shocked to find that it cut the metal! Not only did it do so, but it took little effort. I cut about 1/2" and then the blade snapped. The metal cover and the blade got pretty hot, so I sprayed both with WD-40 before starting again with a fresh blade. It took a total of 5 blades, but I got the job done. 2 of the blades snapped when I moved the cover too roughly while positioning it, not from actually sawing. If I'd been skilled enough, I believe I could have cut the entire circle with 1 blade, as they did not seem to lose their edge at all before I snapped them.

    The saw itself is sturdy and seems well constructed to me. The frame has no flex whatsoever and adjusts smoothly, and the thumbscrews all hold securely. It definitely exceeded my expectations and is a nice addition to my arsenal of tools.
