Edit: I use this lube for medical dilation, and it is an excellent choice for that purpose. However, it is not great for toys/play - it loses glide rather quickly with that sort of action (in my experience), and can even result in painful adhesions. I docked a star since I don't want to give the impression it is suitable for all the usual lube purposes.

Better price than K-Y Jelly per gram, and K-Y tends to lose moisture from the cap once the seal is broken, whereas here the lube is always consistent. (I also find "gummy chunks" in K-Y Jelly quite frequently, which stick to and texture dilators; Medline has always had a homogeneous smooth texture in my experience.)

The packets are also handy for carrying in a purse or pocket. You might need several though.

I like that the viscosity is sufficient to keep it from dripping off dilators, whereas K-Y does pool and drip. However, K-Y Jelly has better slip/glide.

The Medline also washes away with water very easily, whereas K-Y is slightly more resistant. On the other hand, K-Y remains more lubricating in the presence of watery fluid, while Medline tends to lose some slip in those conditions.

Both Medline and K-Y contain glycerine (1,2,3-propantriol), which can nourish undesired bacteria leading to BV; however, Medline is explicitly bacteriostatic, whereas K-Y is not (at least the version sold in Canada is not - I've seen spurious claims that it is, but nothing on the packaging or ingredient list supports that).
