    Excellent device, pairs great with my PS5. It replaced my TV remote as well, so it integrates super well into my whole setup. My only gripe is that it loses it's responsiveness as the power goes down on the batteries. I also think that this remote should have had a built in rechargeable battery with a usb-c slot. Using AA batteries is meh.

    I changed the batteries within a few weeks using the included "Sony" brand batteries, so who knows how good their quality were. Currently using Duracell and it is working perfect, I will update if the remote turns out to be a battery hog.

    UPDATE:

    6 months with since new battery installation, the remote is going strong. Love it, a definite buy if you use your PS5 to watch movies and shows.

    The slightest movement of my ps5 controller was always messing with my streaming videos, just putting it down on the couch would often just start fast forwarding something. this takes away that hassle, only thing I dont like is the shortcut buttons, they are easy to press accidentally and just take up space if you dont happen to use the apps they connect to.

    The title is a little shill like but honestly it really should, the ps5 and xbox are AMAZING media content viewing devices and honestly this remote is just perfect for me

    I actually have accounts with and use all 4 buttons (disney, netflix, prime video, youtube) and I love the setup

    The remote sips batteries compared to the controller, I HATE the ps5 controller battery life, shape, feel, buttons, etc, but I love the exclusive games so I settle with it

    The amazing thing is this remote connects within seconds and again, sips the batteries

    Right away I'll say if your need is a PS5 media remote that can control your TV, you are in luck, this does that really well.

    My issue is that due to my setup (admittedly non-standard), I would really like the volume buttons to control the PS5 device volume. This is clearly possible as I can use the remote to open the quick menu and change the device output volume, but the actual volume buttons on the device will control the volume of your TV and nothing else.

    Also, there is no "media home" button. You have the usual PS5 button and what it gives you, so you can get to that spot, but since this is a media control it would be nice to have a dedicated button to go directly there.

    Lastly, I wish there were a 'wildcard' button that you could assign to a specific app (like Plex or Apple TV for example).

    All in all, my issue with the device is that I can't configure it as much as I would like. If your use case is met by the default configuration, this is a great remote for those of us who have learned the PS5 is a great streaming device.
