This kit is pretty good. It does come with everything you'd need to swap/refurb two joycon. The tweezers are cheap, but they would work. The screwdrivers are better than I was expecting, I've kept them both. Both the joysticks in my kit work fine, and I swapped the rails. The plastic feels a little cheaper maybe. The screws that come with are also pretty cheap and soft, but it is super nice that they send a full set with in case you lose or strip any of the originals.

Word of warning, this is a fiddly job. It's not really hard, just lots of little parts and takes lots of patience. Especially the first one. Watch YouTube videos of the process!!

HOWEVER...

Check all components the DAY you get the box. Ordered this to replace a faulty SL/SR strip on a right joycon... which it turns out fixed itself before I got around to fixing it. I got the box, placed it in my gaming drawer MONTHS ago, and finally had to pull the box out today to repair a shattered joystick due to a pretty bad tumble for our switch off the back of a couch... Imagine my surprise when I opened everything up to find one of the replacement pieces I BOUGHT it for: came with a broken ribbon cable. So essentially: useless.

Also:

The extra replacement screws won't fit off-brand joycons well, and get stuck easily.

The included tools: super useful though. Spudgers n all. Brush was a nice touch too.

If the pieces were all there and NOT broken: would be a 5/5 star kit. Esp given the price. EVEN with that broken cable: I'd recommend buying this.

I only fixed a left joycon and had leftover parts to repair a right joycon should the need arise.

This worked well to repair my kids joycon which was suffering from thumbstick drift. I used all the parts for the left joycon including the new side buttons and upgraded metal locks.

It helps if you already possess some phone repair skills. Repairing the joycom is similar to repairing a phone. There's many small parts and ribbon cables inside the joycon. Patients, dexterity and good lighting are needed..

at one point, the spring for the joycon lock went flying. I had a fun time crawling around on my kitchen floor for 20 minutes trying to find it. Eventually I did find the spring. Huzzah!! Then, i discovered some extra springs included in the kit. I could have easily replaced it instead. ?

Breathed new life into my old joycons. Had a broken analog stick on both joycons. Replaced both analog sticks, rails and led strips that it comes with. Also changed the case while i was at it hence the color change.

The parts feel of good quality and are working perfectly. Did not even need to calibrate the sticks.

The provided tools were good too, a lot better than what some other kits provide. I can see why everyone was praising the tweezers, they're pretty good.

Overall amazing kit. Only thing that they can add is maybe more extra screws but i had a lot from my shell replacement kit so wasn't worried about that.
