I wanted a better locking hitch pin instead of the simple combo lock, through the hitch pin and stabilizer, that came with my North Shore Racks, 4 bike rack. It fits securely and it is than the brass hitch pin and stabilizer bracket that came with my bike rack. It doesn't feel/sound like it rattles as much when driving around. Feels like it's way more secure in in the hitch and I'm less worried when going over rough road. The locking mechanism fits just right, it is easy to lock and unlock, and the threaded magnetic holder (plus the sleeve for the none threaded end) improves how secure my bike rack and cargo hitch feels while in use and driving around.

    Works as advertised and very easy to install. Totally tightened up the Yakima Eco Swingbase I have attached. The weather protector for the keyway seems to hold on pretty good. No REAL complaints, based on initial install.

    Some nitpick things:

    1). I wish it were black instead of chrome. I hate chrome.

    2). The key doesn't strike me as all that secure. It uses some weird circular bumps instead of normal looking ridges and valleys like a normal key. Maybe it's secure, I don't know. We'll see. In the meantime, make sure you don't lose a key but because I think you're unlikely to get a locksmith to make a dupe for your remaining key.

    Easy to install the pin, but the key is immediately stuck in the lock. I inserted the key to take the pin apart and install it, but now I cannot get the key out of the lock. The spring is pushing it open instead of pushing the lock to the locked position. No amount of wiggling has gotten the key out and it’s not latched so I can’t put it on the pin. Seller can you help me?
