The original filters have a fine mesh net on them. These ones don't. I find that bubbles get trapped inside the filter and therefore the water has difficulties passing through. By tapping the jug with some water in the top pre-filter area releases the bubbles and the water may flow less restricted from the bubbles. If no results the first time do this two more times. If still no success, filter maybe faulty or clogged from use. I does the job, but not consistently.

These work well enough. The ZeroWater container design is poor but the filtration is 2nd to none. The pitchers are real cheap. We live in a town whose water is supposed to be very good but this filters out a lot of crap you would not expect to come out of the tap. We would be drinking it otherwise.
