    My old green Craftsman lawn tractor is 25 years old and the Kohler engine still runs strong. I began having problems with starting - I had to push the key up while in the starting position. Obviously the switch was wearing out. I almost ordered the P/N listed in the owner's manual, but I remembered there was something different about the switch than the diagram showed. Sure enough, the manual showed 3 position switch with a separate headlight switch. This switch has the headlight position and the same number and configuration of wiring terminals.

    It was a quick plug-n-play swap, taking less than 5 minutes in total and all functions are correct.
