This is a commercial mulching blade with tri-cut tips for increased mulching. It measures 21-11/16" in length, 2-1/4" in width with a 7/16" center hole.     The blade is an exact fit for my Toro 22" recycler. I noted the loft on the tips is a lot higher than the OE blade. It cuts about the same as OE and only a slight improvement on the mulch feature. I found that pushing the mower a lot slower (as with the OE blade) got slightly better results. I'm going to sharpen the blade as it came with a cutting edge that was more dull than the OE blade, and see what happens. So close to the end of season I don't know if it's really worth it but I'll do it anyway as part of regular maintenance.

    After cutting the lawn a few times with this I've noticed that it is different and similar to the Toro Atomic blades. The similarity is that when mulching tall grass it will clog up, bog down and spit chunks; the solution I found is to mow about 6 feet, pop the front up to spray out some mulch and pull back about 1 foot then repeat (frequency depends on mower and height of grass). Of course cutting more frequently eliminates or reduces the need to pop the front end up. The difference, and this is a big one, is that this blade not only cuts the grass but does a great job shredding it, looking at the mulch you can see that the individual blades of grass are stringy and broken apart not just cut off; I attribute this to a better fin design on the trailing edge, not only are there more than the Atomic but they're also twisted to provide extra edges that break up the grass. This blade does what I was expecting the Toro to do and at a slightly better price. It also seems to bag better too, probably because the grass is being broken down more and compacts better. Will definitely buy another when the time comes.

    If you still have the factory Toro blade, throw it out and buy this now. I was on the verge of leaving my 22” Toro recycler mower at the curb for the junk man. I put this blade on, and it’s like having a new mower. For those who don’t know, the factory blade is an engineering defect - even if you sharpen it perfectly, it will never cut right. This blade solves that issue. No more clumping, bogging, or grinding.

    I bought my Toro at the beginning of 2024. I had to bag while mowing because the mulching just clogged up in the mower and the deck had to be cleaned out several times while mowing. I hated this lawn mower so much.
