I absolutely adore these mattress protectors. They're really soft and great. You might be tempted to save money and get cheaper ones, but as someone who has done that their entire life, please just splurge a bit. It's worth it. Firstly, it's got super super deep pockets that even thick mattresses will appreciate. No more popping off the corners. It's also very soft and comfortable. I didn't even put a sheet on it for awhile and napped like that since it was so soft. It doesn't make really any noise like the description says and it washes really well. Unless you rip the sides using something sharp, there's nothing that could fray, so these will stand the test of time. You may think that something that goes under your sheet doesn't make a difference, but let me tell you, it does. These ones are the nicest I've tried and it doesn't have any of that fake fur that gets all destroyed and uncomfy after being in the dryer. It also seems pretty water proof based on a water spill test. Wouldn't suggest leaving any large amounts of liquid sitting on it though, since most mattress protectors aren't 100% waterproof. However, if you change it within an hour or two of spilling something big, you should be safe!
