  • Masterson Sta-Wet Premier Palette – 12in x 16in x 1.75in. Made in Pennsylvania, USA. No more wasted paint! When closed, the airtight container keeps paints workable for days, even weeks. A custom wet sponge and special permeable palette paper provides the paint with a constant source of moisture. Paints will slowly absorb moisture from the sponge through the paper. Great size for painters wanting to work with a larger palette mixing area.
  • Masterson Sta-Wet Acrylic Paper – 30 Sheets. Wet the paper and place on top of the moist sponge. This paper is reusable, strong, and will not easily tear, therefore a palette knife can be used. Both sides of the paper can be used.
  • Masterson Sta-Wet Sponge – The cellulose sponge evenly and effectively transfers moisture to the Sta-Wet Acrylic Paper, extending the life of your paints. The cellulose sponge material provides the absorption level required for the Masterson Sta-Wet Palette System and is environmentally friendly.
  • Easy to Use – Wet the sponge, wet the palette paper, place in the airtight container, put paints on the palette paper and begin painting. Close the airtight lid and your paint will stay wet, fresh, and workable until your next painting session.
  • For oil paints, remove the acrylic palette paper and sponge. Insert your favorite oil paint palette into the tray. The airtight container will slow the oil paint dry time and reduce oxidation. 12in x 16in New Wave Artist Palettes are designed to fit within the Premier Palette.

No more wasted paint! The Masterson Sta-Wet Premier Palette keeps acrylics and other water-based paints moist on the open palette for hours. Once the lid is closed, the paints will stay wet and in workable condition for days, even weeks. The airtight acrylic palette features a patented sponge insert and special permeable palette paper. Together, they provide acrylics and other water-miscible paints with a constant source of moisture. Moisten the sponge and lay it inside the paint palette tray, then place the palette paper on top. When the lid is open, the paints will have an extended open time. When the lid is snapped shut, the Masterson palette will maintain a moist atmosphere that preserves paints. In addition to its use with water-miscible paints, the Sta-Wet palette can be used as an oil paint palette. For use with oils, simply remove sponge and palette paper and use the covered paint palette to store oil paints (oil palette paper not included). The lid has five prongs that provide structural stability and prevent the lid from contacting any paints stored inside. The workable area for the mixing palette is 12 x16 inches, making it ideal for projects that require maximum palette surface. Each Masterson Palette box contains five sheets of "Sta-Wet" palette paper for acrylic paint, one cellulose sponge, injection molded artist palette tray and lid, and complete instructions for preparation and use. The Masterson Sta-Wet Premier Palette is manufactured in the United States.

    I would have given the sta wet palette a 5 star but it was damaged when it arrived . Having said that I have had one that lasted me for 25 years and was awesome . I since reordered and the new one came undamaged so when I am asked to do a review for that one I will be giving it a 5 star !

    While I find the larger palette size nice to mix more colours, it kind of defeats the point of selling something that is meant to keep paint from drying up when the lid doesn't fit properly to create an air tight seal. Instead of hard plastic, perhaps it would be a good idea for the manufacturers to use silicone or some other material that would fit better and easier to create a full and easily achieved complete seal. For the price of this product ($51.51 with tax), that shouldn't be too much to ask.

    This was a bit expensive, and I was dubious that it would be worth it. Boy, was I wrong. This is brilliant! First, don't underestimate the size: this thing is BIG. But the space to mix paints, and have general freedom on a serious size of palette? Priceless. And the 'paper' they supply? So much better than what is effectively baking parchment in other wet palettes I've used. The seal is tight, I've painted over a week without any drying issues. Great investment.
