Pizzelle Paradise!
I am learning to make pizzelles and experimenting with flavours and fillings for the rolled ones. I first ordered the Cuisinart pizzelle maker, but found the pizzelles were thicker than they should be and were a bit smaller than I hoped at 4” each. I returned it and ordered the Master Chef PIzzelle Baker, which was actually about $30 cheaper than the Cuisinart one. It made perfect pizzelles and they were larger than the first ones I tried. I’m still learning timing to make them uniform in colour. The latch that pushes the heating plates down is great and makes a difference in the thickness. It doesn’t have a light that goes off to indicate when the pizzelles are done, so you do have to keep track of time since they bake so quickly. I would recommend this appliance and look forward to having fun making different flavours - lemon, orange, lime, churro, chocolate, anise, lemon poppy seed - and whatever else I imagine would work.

    La boîte est arrivée avec les coins écrasés mais la protection de carton a bien protégé l’appareil. Il fonctionne à merveille! La puissance de la presse est de 750 watts et non 60 kilowatts comme mentionné dans l’annonce. J’ai suivi la recette sur le livret inclus. J’ai doublé les quantités pour faire une portion au citron et l’autre moitié aux graines d’anis. Tellement facile et rapide à cuire: environ une minute. Rien ne colle. La surface anti-adhésive est totalement efficace. Prendre un ustensile en bois pour soulever les pizzelle qui sont très chaudes une fois cuites. Il me reste à devenir plus habile à mesurer la bonne quantité de mélange à déposer sur la surface afin que la taille des pizzelle soit parfaite (sans déborder des motifs). Mon mari (italien) était fort impressionné du goût authentique. Je rivalise maintenant avec ma belle-maman!
