    Technically it only says that it will "connect." This is true; you can plug the USB end into any computer usb 2 or 3 port and you can plug the other end into your camera's 1394 port. They just won't communicate. My pcie 1394 card fortunately does connect; I just have to swap it with another card when I want to transfer video from my camera to the computer. Buyer Beware!
